Maintenance on the 5 litre

Traffic was down Monday at my shop , so i decided to do a quick brake job on the 5.0 . i'm still deciding on what rotors / pads i'm going to run on the front and rear. so in the mean time i have OEM Ford pads and rotors in the rear , the front brakes were completely fine and will last until i figure out what rotor and pad combo i want. also did a Royal Purple Full Syn. oil change , i usually use Mobil 1 in my cars , it's all i used in the M3 (before i sold it )

i'm pretty excited to get her on the track , she handles surprisingly well , accelerates without a fuss in pretty much any gear ( gotta love the 3.73 ratio LSD) and stops extremely well . make no mistake , this is not a track toy , simply a fun daily driver . This is what i will be toying with until i find the next car that i will be a dedicated track/street car.

.. what pads & rotors is everyone running on their Brembo 5 litre's ? looking for a good upgrade from OEM

I would just continue running the stock rotors and do brake ducts and some harder pads, I am thinking about switching to HP+ up front.

id be careful using Royal purple. I know a couple guys who destroyed their engines with it (granted they were Harleys)

I use hawk Dtc 70 fronts & dtc 60 rears. For rotors I use DBA 5000 fronts 4000 rears. I switch off for track days with the stock Ford stuff. Also upgraded the brake lines to stainless steel lines & dot 4 fluid. This setup stops my Boss! I can go real deep in the braking zones & no fade.
