MT drag raced the 2 cars, pretty impressive.

Didn't know if it had been posted or not. I knew the overall video had been and I didn't want to search through 8+ pages of posts to find it.

I saw that too. Methinks the MT crew are swinging on the nuts of BMW.

The "taping on the breaks" is light reflection in the housing and the camera capturing it. There's numerous videos of people and their exhaust and it looks like the tail lights are going on and off- but it's light / camera play.

It seems like legit test. Mustang has the jump, BMW catches and will probably overtake at 120+?
But seems plausible.

Maybe much higher in speed than 120, the Mustang began pulling again on the M3 in order to gain the 0.1 second advantage in the quarter.

It still amazes me to see the Mustang in GT form not bowing out to the M3. I have to say that M3 Competition Package looks gorgeous. I think they should offer the FRPP handling kit as the so-called Competition package for the Mustang and then run them again. Heck, put on the RTR wheels or (maybe a bit unfair) the BBS BOSS wheels. Then they'd look like cousins.

Exactly! Everytime the pony started to pull away you could see the dude tapping on the breaks...

Anyway, M3's dont pose any threat to me...

At 2:24 you can see the car nose dive from one of the brake taps. I don't see this being a reflection....

The video in question is HIGHLY suspect to me.

The video is for show, not necessarily the actual video of the true outcome.

What we need is an exhaust system that makes the Mustang sound more like that M3's tune.

Add an x-pipe and spin the engine to 10k and she will sound like Ferrari.

I have to think the video was staged based on the brake lights. I'm not saying to results are staged. MT wanted to make a cool video so the GT was braking to keep it close for the camera.

These phantom brake lights are all in your heads. Starting to sound fanboy-ish...

The cars do run 'that' close.

Did you watch the video? There's brake lights in there at 1:36. That's not being a fanboy, that's a fact. Regarding the times, I'm not questioning the results. The times are consistent with other write ups. Again, I think the the guy in the GT was fendering the M3 to make a cool video.

I see what you're talking about but the exanation above covers it. It's just a reflection.

Some of you guys are on crack if you think someone is tapping the Mustangs brakes so the M3 can have some sort of advantage. Fact is they are neck and neck and IMO thats a win for the 'stang. They are both very good and very fast cars simply put. MT isnt rigging anything so one car has an advantage over another.
