I like what you did, but if you rear lights are not DOT approved is it worth it getting pulled over all the time for dark tail lights and risk the chance of getting blamed for an accident?

Here in Florida it's a $101 fine for EACH tint violation.I had tinted tail lights and smoked headlights, cop gave me a $202 fine. Definately different not really feeling it but I think it can grow on me.

They will inspect the ENTIRE car next time you bring it in for a Fix It. They are getting nuts in SoCal lately.

doesn't matter to me, its always been some fat old cop who hates his job, they don't even leave the building... the guy walks to the door, looks from afar, and then says "ok your good to go"

happens every time...

Good luck with that one. You painted over the reflectors, therefore you've lost all reflective characteristics, and you have lost your case and are out legal fees you paid for a useless argument.

I think the tail lights don't look right on the Kona, the carbon fiber panel looks like crap! Seriously, it's horrible. Was that a sponsorship part too, I noticed the TruFiber windshield banner, but stock hood.

Please don't tell me you are rocking that banner because of the hideous deck lid panel...

You asked for opinions...but hey, I bet the tinted windows look great! Wanna post some side profile pics?

Great first post Nancy. Maybe you can take him out to dinner and he'll give you a ride in your dream car.

It grew on me. I like it BUT I still wouldn't do it here in florida. I just don't need the hassel from the cops.

once you exceed getting a certain number of fix it tickets in california, they then count as points on your driving record.

I think it looks awesome! I love the tinted tail and blackout panel look. I did the same thing on mine. I , like many that have posted here, was skeptical about light transmission but liked the look so much in my head I was willing to chance it. I can say there is no loss even in bright sunlight. I let my girlfriend drive home while I followed and could see them plain as day on a sunny afternoon. I was going to take the tint right back off if you visibility was affected. I went with tint in case I get orders to a state where it is illegal so I could easily change back.
