A little disappointed with available colors
I really wish a few more colors were available for 2011. A tri-coat pearl white, dark green, blueish-grey gunmetal, or windveil blue would be great additions IMO. I will be ordering soon, and I'm still not sure what color to get. I'm currently between Ingot Silver and Red Candy, but disappointed they dropped Red Candy with brick red interior.
They can't make all the colors that people want. That would make the cars cost more.
They already have a white, and a grey, and two differant blues. Not really sure why a green is not offer though.
I prefer the red over the silver, but mine gona be blue.

On the other hand, when my boyfriend saw a Mustang in Harvest Gold, he said the car looked like a drag queen. And that he would never ride in it.)
So Ingot Silver it is . . .
Not that a comparison matters, but Benz offers 10 colors on the C, and BMW offers 14 on the 3. Colors are obviously personal opinions, I just feel a couple more choices would be nice.
I can't express how much I would want a comp orange, legend lime green, and grabber green, but in the end I'll pick grabber blue every time. Also it's odd how the mustang is the only pony car with out a orange option.
But exterior? Frame, 2 fenders, trunk, hood, door handles, and fascias. That's it. 7 panels to paint. That's not hard, gimme a break, and let's see some *excitement* in the colors, Ford!
They don't do it because they don't want 2000 Puce Mustangs lingering in the lots. Well, ok, 1800, as 200 of them will probably sell right away. They don't make them when you order them, they make them because they *cannot stop making them*. So they make easy colors that overall will sell.
It's never going away as long as unions and "drive off the lot with it today" are in combination. You'll get a special here and there, but mostly? White, black, 3 shades in between, 2 shades of blue, 1 green, 2 reds, and a cute special like the gold.
/Still no Emberglo, btw.
//yeah, it's been a sore spot for years for me.
///There ought to be a way for a group to make a special paint buy... ah well.

Oh, pshaw. There's absolutely no reason for that. The interiors, I admit, are a harder piece, and even so, they offer plenty of seat colors.

Even the interiors are too limited IMO. Dark blue and no grey leather?
I'll keep my $30k+ to myself thank you!And the Grabber Blue...? I know its popular but I'm not drivin' a baby blue.

But brand X sells much fewer cars and they have some drop dead gorgeous color options - for a lousy $226 add on.

Yeah i'm definitely not a fan of the new colors. after seeing kona blue and sterling grey in person they look reallllllly dull, I like vista and tungsten way better. torch/race red, white and black are the only colors i'd consider getting the new stang in. grabber blue is cool but i'd probably get tired of it pretty quickly.
I'd really like a metallic white or black though

My biggest complaints about color for the 2011 are the lack of metallic colors. I'd love to see the Tuxedo black and White Tri-Coat added for 2012 and beyond. Atlantis green (which has been heavily rumored) would be a nice touch too. Aside from that, a Grabber Orange/Medium Gold to use for the Boss would be the last option I'd suggest.
Acapulco Blue
Anniversary Gold
Arcadian Blue
Aspen Gold
Blue Bonnet
Bright Red
Brittany Blue
Burnt Amber
Candy Apple Red
Clearwater Aqua
Columbine Blue
Dark Moss Green
Diamond Blue
Diamond Green Dusk Rose
Frost Turquoise
Lavender
Lime Gold
Nightmist Blue
Pebble Beige
Playboy Pink
Raven Black
Sauterne Gold
Silver Frost
Springtime Yellow
Timberline Green
Vintage Burgundy
Wimbledon White
I have to agree with the OP on this one. I deliberated for a long time over the colors... I REALLY wanted a paint color like Competition Orange...or something vivid yet not tacky. I love Grabber Blue and Race Red...but they're a bit too conspicuous, IMO. Somehow a reddish Orange seems less blatant than straight up red.
They canned Sunset Gold, otherwise that would have been my pick.
I ended up going with Kona Blue based on the moments when that paint looks brilliant (direct sunlight) and will tolerate it the rest of the time when it just looks inky and kinda dull.
