Lil help here

Just a quick quick question. Ive noticed at car shows that guys will have about a 3foot pole holding there hood up so you can see the hood and its not straight up in the air. Does anyone know what this is called, can I buy one or should I just make my own?????

I just bought a piece of PVC pipe and cut it to size then painted it to match the car. Worked like a champ.

Whatever you use, I would be sure it is locked into the hood latch at both top and bottom. A simple breeze or a bump can allow the hood to drop. With luck, it will miss slamming on the prop rod as things fall. It makes a grown man cry....as I have seen it.

I have seen people use the stock prop rod ..... instead of putting it in the correct hole on the hood, they put it inside the latch loop (center of hood) that catches the hood latch
