lets pick some winter wheels!

Hello All, I purchased my mustang gt automatic with california special earlier this month. pics can be seen attached to this post. I need a set of winter wheels and I originally wanted the Black AMR wheels from american muscle, but those are out of stock until december.

The drag wheels below are similar, but the saleen style has grown on me as well. Which do you guys like better?

1. Drag Dr-37 Black

2. American Muscle Black Saleen Style wheels

I like 'em both, but as these are winter wheels, the Saleen's will be easier to clean

I vote Saleen. Cleaning and the snow not getting packed in because they are so open is better I think.

I have the 18" SVT wheels with Blizzaks for winter. They have the black centers and polished rim, which look good on the GT/CS. If you would like a photo, PM your e-mail to me. I cannot seem to get photos to post on this site.

I think winter wheels should be silver since the road salt will make them look silver anyway

Tire Rack has the Avarus AV8 in 20" for $235 each and it looks like a silver version of the Drag wheel in the first post:

EDIT: If you don't have the Brembo brakes apparently you have a LOT more choices ...

EDIT #2: Apparently if you pick tires first the site THEN lets you pick 18" wheels for the Brembo cars too and Sport Edition F10 looks very similar to the stock 19" Brembo rims:

lavaroach,

I honestly don't think you can go wrong. IMO they're both great looking wheels. However I'm a huge fan of the Saleen wheels and definitely recommend them as winter or summer wheels. They give your Mustang a very aggressive stance and like listed above are extremely easy to keep clean.

I hope this helps, let me know if I can be of any assistance! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

I like the Drag better. If you goto discounttire.com they have an option to "see it on your car" so you can see what the drag wheels would look like.

Drag wheels are really soft. Over the years I managed to damage three of the four wheels on mine, not to mention that the clearcoat was so thin on them that the wheel lips were pitted to hell on mine as well.
