Leak in 2011 Trunk, are there weep holes?

Hello Stangers,
My 2011 was wet in the trunk, drivers light side.
Is there a weep hole somewhere that might be clogged.
I know the dash has leaks but know those.
Any help appreciated.
God Bless America.

There's no weep holes. There might be a hole here or there, but there's no holes to drain water from because it's not supposed to leak in the first place into the trunk. Well, maybe in those extreme left and right caverns there might be, but still... There shouldn't be any water intrusion whatsoever, normally. Trunk's supposed to be sealed, with the exception of the pass through to the front cabin and the air pressure equalizer flaps that open when you close a door or trunk. And those are normally designed to keep water, air, and critters out, so normally you wouldn't have water coming in those. Coupe or convertible? Convertible, the obvious thing is the top's leaking somehow and you need to figure out where and address it.

Coupe, the rear window and possibly the quarter window may be having a leak.

Both, the trunk seal or the drip rail under the trunk lid could have the issue.

If it's a coupe, then you could get a garden hose, place it near where the leak may be occurring, and turn it on. From the inside of the car, turn down the back seats and crawl in the trunk with a light, and look for the leak that way. Convertible, can't say it's possible to do this, because the problem is in this video. Note that I can't speak for the language if there's any, I just found it and didn't watch the whole thing, just the important part showing the space between the trunk and the rear seats, and it showing the little compartment that the top goes in. Which may be where your leak is, and it still may be worth having the seat out to see.

Oh, there is one thing... in the rain, or after a rain, when you flip open the trunk, annoyingly the water standing on the trunk lid *will* drain directly into the trunk on the left and right sides. The practice is to open the trunk about half way, wait for the water to stop draining off the lid and into the drip rails, THEN open the trunk fully. The problem is the way the hinge works the lid actually comes towards you when you open it, so opening it too fast will ensure you get water directly into the trunk instead of the drip rails.

'Bout it, really. You just have to catch it doing the leaking and then fix it. I mean, unless you're soaking or driving the car in a trunk floor or higher pool of water, it has to come in from the 'top', so... yeah. Put a hose on it and find it. That's how a shop will do it anyway and charge you for doing it, so might as well save the money, eh?
Hope that helps, and welcome to the forums!

yeah, I don't think there are any weep-holes, and I didn't read Houtex' post so he probably covered it already: make sure the channels at the side of the trunk area (under the trunk lid) are not clogged up with crud; leaves and stuff tend to accumulate down near the bottom where the support rods connect

Ooh, good catch, Bert! I try to avoid the trees/leaves, so I kinda forgot that's a thing. Heh.
