Just curious,as I had heard Ford had cut off 2011 model orders.
If that's so,why the rush for 2012's when the 2011 is still a new car?
Get's confusing after awhile.

This topic has been covered several times here. Yes, it's too late to order a 2011 Mustang. Ford has been scheduling 2012 Mustangs for a couple of weeks already.

The 2011 Mustangs started production very early this year, as well, so Mustang model year turnover is on a earlier schedule than most models.

As far as I can guess the push is for two reasons. For one, the Mustang tends to be a summer car, last year when the order bank opened in February people weren't receiving their cars until July. I think this may be better as people will be getting their cars before the summer not when it's half over.

As well, the introduction of the Boss as a 2012 pushed forward the date.

At any rate, it was posted here as far back as last July that this model year was going to end early; it was announced in a late May dealer communication but a lot of people here (seriously) chose to doubt/ignore it.
