What will Ford finally show us?
OK, I guess the v6, GT and 'verts are a given.
What about the Shelby GT500 though? My guess is they may save that for early to mid next year to keep up the interest, and keep the press focused on Ford. This'll be followed by the '11 5.0 late in 2009. Just my guesses.

I guess it depends on when they go on sale..
New York is in April, I doubt they would bring out the Shelby at New York if its available right away.
But if its staggered, then yeah I'd say they'll show the main cars first, then the Shelby in new york (or detroit)

Yeah, showing all models at once would probably detract from the V6 and GT. I'm happy with not seeing the GT500 anyway since most of general the upgrades and tweaks will be across all models anyway. The only thing we would be waiting for is the GT500 engine specs which I don't see being dramatically different anyway.
I'm guessing the VG/GT combo as well. However, they might show the GT500 if there is another SE like a Mach 1 or BOSS in the works. However, I don't see a SE until 2011 or 2012 to help drive sales.
I think you're right. Suspect Ford will want to let '10 sales ride on the refreshed basic models & save the SEs to bolster sales in following years.
So for L.A. I suspect it'll just be base & GT, with the Shelby/Cobra/GT500 or whatever they decide to call it saved for Detroit.
Could be wrong, though. Sometimes hard to figure out what Ford does & why...

Us dealers have already signed off and submitted our enrollment forms for the "2010-2011 Shelby GT500" program, so you can bet that Ford is continuing to milk the Shelby GT500 name for all it is worth.
