I rechecked what I bought from Hypermotive:
8750-1030/ 8250-1008 - Koni STR.t orange strut and shock set
M-18183-C - GT500/ FRPP upgraded strut mounts

checking the part numbers for the orange Koni's, I found out that indeed they are intended for '05-'09 mustang. That is why the GT500 mounts work (or maybe are even required as the original wouldn't work?? ).

Let me clarify the mounts - it was really this part...2005-2014 MUSTANG FRONT STRUT MOUNT UPGRADE (PAIR), #M-18183-C. Technically not GT500, but Ford Racing...same upgrade concept. If my stock mounts ever do fail, these are what I will install.
Hope all of this helps, good luck!
Watch out: M-18183-C

*Upgrade for 2011-2014 Mustang GT/V6 (See Note Below)

NOTE: These Upper Mounts are not a direct fit for 2011-2014 Mustang GT/V6 if using factory style struts. You must use 2005-2010 Mustang GT/V6 Style Struts, OR 2007-2014 GT500 Style Struts when using these Mounts on a 2011-2014 Mustang GT/V6.

Since everyone seems to battle the bearings falling out... Has anyone ever heard of bending a strut do to over tightening the spring compressor.. Or possibly even tightening it unevenly resulting in a bend and loss of silver *****..??
