Kona looks purple (again)
Just saw a new Kona GT in the shade of a tree with a mostly cloudy sky... and there's no question whatever that it looks very much purple in that light. Looked pretty good to me. That is all.

Haha... if mine ever emerges from the black hole it has slipped into, I'll give you guys a thorough review of the paint.
I have recently spotted a couple of Kona Blue V6ers both of which had the white stripes (which alters the impression that the paint gives) but they looked sharp and I felt good about my paint choice.
Don't fear the purple!!

You guys must be colorblind. Too much purple? It BARELY has any purple tinge, and only under certain lighting. Red Candy has more purple in it than Kona because of the tinted clearcoat, you just don't notice it as much because the red overpowers it in the color spectrum. And why all the hate for a little purple tinge anyways? Are you guys too insecure in your manhood to be driving a purple car?? Sheesh. It still looks like Navy/Royal blue, which naturally has a little purple in it. Sonic had much more purple in it than Kona...

I like Kona Blue. My 06 GT Tungsten Grey had lots of different colour looks, depending on the time of day and the sun. I really liked that about the colour

I will buy Jack Stands!!!
I'd rock a purple Mustang, I think it'd be sweet. Chill guys, anything can look a color it's not in the right (or wrong, as the case may be) light.

As I said in the Previous Kona is Purple thread, True Blue, Charcoal Blue and even the Sonic blue has a purple tint to it. Then again when I repainted my 03 F150 the Recipe did say Lavender and how much per gallon.
Then again, When I went to go order my Tonneau Cover she looked at the truck and wrote down UA black on the order sheet
In that picture you can see a Purplish cast.

It does have some red flake in it and that is why under certain lighting it will have a purplish hue but it definitely is NOT purple by any means. Any metallic paint will have varying color shades to it under certain lighting conditions.
