Knee bolster / Getting comfy

Knee bolster / Getting comfy
Loving the car, but I'm having a little trouble getting comfortable. Grr.
I have a long torso, and relatively short legs for someone 5'10". The best position is to lean the seat back at an angle, and move the seat forward so my arms can reach the wheel better. But I find that my right knee is bumping up against the console. Is the console wider on the '10/'11? Maybe I'll get used to it? It's putting a little crimp in my fun.
I see that there's a product out there, from Zeta: http://www.zetaproducts.net/consolek...rdmustang.aspx
Anyone have this problem, or have experience with this product?

You can always get some meomory foam and put it on the dash. Though I dont see where moving that far forward is a good choice saftey wise you know?

When I rented a 2005 after having my '04 for a few months (and a '94 & '98 for the 10 years prior), that was the main thing that really anoyed me ... my knee against the side of the console. To make it even more anoying was the fact that the seam of my Levi's was between my knee and the hard plastic.
After I got back in my '04, I really had to try hard to touch the side of the console with the side of my leg ... I thought WTH !!
Anyway, I think the 2010-11 with it's "padded" console (actually dash pad coming down to this point) is better than the 2005-09 was as far as this particular anoyance, but it is still there.
Hey, at least they swapped the Tach & Speedo ... on that rental the rim of the steering wheel was within my site path of seeing 65-75 MPH and this drove me nuts too !!
As great as these cars are in every other repect Mike, you and I will just have to get used to the FAT console !!

I'm 5'9" with a long torso, but I haven't noticed my knee hitting the console yet. I was probably focused on other things when I checked out the last one I sat in, so when I go to the dealer again I'll look for this.
I'm really suprised Ford hasn't put a telescoping wheel in the Mustang yet. The Challenger and the Camaro have one which makes it very easy to find a comfortable seating postion. I have to pull the seat forward more than I'd like in the Mustang just to be able to comfortably reach the steering wheel.
