Just Placed An Order At American Muscle
So instead of the rear seat delete kit I decided to go with the SR Performance strut brace. Anyone that has added this to their Mustang I would really appreciate some feedback as to what you think about it.
A lot of SR's stuff is "price conscious" reproductions of other quality stuff on the market. Particularly a solid, static piece like this I'd give it a shot without a second thought. Their shifter gets some positive reviews, as does their clutch line (which I've got waiting to go on in spring). Plus I really like AM's service. If you're not happy with it, they'll help you make it right.
Maybe it's a dumb question, but do some GT's not have the factory brace? My TP came with the Ford one, so I just always assumed they all had one.
Anyone have data showing the effectiveness of the strut brace in terms of without vs with in lbf/in deflection (torsional strength I guess)?

Thanks cdiaz, looks great. I considered going with the chrome but didn't because of my experience with chrome accessories when I had a jeep. They always developed rust issues it seemed. Being under the hood I wouldn't be surprised if the strut bar doesn't have that issue.
I promise to give everyone some legit feedback. No placebo effect BS. It either makes a noticeable difference or it doesn't. Either way I'll give an honest say so.
I am going to be interested in an honest review. The reviews on American Muscle claim less body roll, improved handling and improved steering. I find it hard to believe the front of the unibody is moving around that much!
EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm not trying to come off as snarky or poke fun. Making your engine bay look good is an absolutely valid reason to get one of these. Hell, the first thing I actually did on my car was Boss coil covers.
Yes, I installed my oil separator at the same time, but technically, the coil cover job was completed first. I just wanted to make the point that the forces inflicted to cause chassis flex so this becomes helpful aren't going to *safely* happen off the race track.
