I tried all kinds of selections. I finally got two emails sent to two email addresses I have never used with Ford before. Only one of the emails had a coupon. Nothing via USPS yet. I have read there are $1,000 coupons too.

Don't want a 2013? I would at least see it in person before jumping on a '12.

I like the 2013 rear end and Recaro's ... I don't think I could live with the front end ... Still love the Saleen Grill and GT/CS valance and fogs. WIll be swapping all that stuff over to the 2012.

Congrats on the order. I had ordered my GT at invoice minus any rebates. When it arrived, I had $1,500 incentive cash and $750 coupon cash back for a total of $2,250 under invoice. I paid $33,000 and change for a $39,000 and change vehicle. Not bad. Here's the link if you want to check it out.

Dan, as much as I HATED SG cars, I have to say yours is the nicest one I've seen to date. Shame you've put a lot of time and energy into that and traded up. Granted, you can swap some parts over, but yours was truly unique. Can't wait to see what you do with your '12.

I already got a coupon good until 1/12/12.

I am sure I will miss my SG at first. I love the car but really want all the options especially glass roof. I bought my 2010 after production ended so couldn't order with all the bells and whistles. I would not be getting a 2012 if my 2010 was loaded.

Get you coupon locked in. The dealer can do this through ford. With all the holidays the factory shuts down and with weather delays you might see your car by Febuary. Sorry to rain on your parade just what happened to me when I ordered my 11 around the same time. My car arrived at the dealer March 10th. Ordered November 9th with plenty dealer allocation.

Thanks. I will make sure the coupon and current incentives are all locked before they expire. I am hoping the car does come in after Jan 3 when the current incentives expire. if I got the car last week of December and incentives get better first week of January I'd be pissed!

Why does it have V6 rims on a 5.0?

As someone else said in a thread not too long ago that my anticipation and excitement is also turning into disappointment and desperation, I ordered mine on oct5th it's November 20th and still NO VIN, NO PRODUCTION DATE. In the words of ford customer service "ford received the order but hasn't been picked up by the plant, the system picks the order number and sends it to the plant"

Feels like that Seinfeld segment with the car rental, "sir we have your reservation but I don't have a car"

"you don't have a car? But the reservation keeps the car HERE"

"anybody can take a reservation, it's the HOLDING"

So they took my order but nothing done about it, great.

The other possibility is that the dealer hasn't put the order in yet. Took it, but didn't put it in. Do you have a DORA?

DORA - Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. Basically a verification that your order has been accepted by the system. Should get one if your order was in fact placed.

I was also told that once ordered, a VIN is given within 5-7 days. I ordered mine on a Monday, had a VIN by Thursday. If the dealer can't provide one or both items, I'd escalate it with their sales manager, or go somewhere else that can. Canada gets a smaller allocation, but that doesn't mean they can't provide these things.
