Hey guys, i'm new here. just ordered a 2011 Mustang GT. Supposed to be up to 3 months for delivery (ouch) but at least I know it's coming straight from the factory. A few questions - How do you guys track the factory order? My dealer says they won't know anything until it shows up at their lot which I think is BS (probably because I got a good deal on it that they are upset? could be a show though) - I didn't ask about the usual things - carpet mats, a full tank of gas, etc,. I guess these are at the discretion of the dealer eh? - Does the 2011 GT come with 2 keys, or 2 keys + a valet key? - Any specific tips for delivery inspection? It is BS, the dealer inventory manager should be able to get decent updates on where it is and when it's being built, you can even get the window sticker online some days before the car even hits the assembly line. A full tank of gas should be a given if the dealer has any sense of decency, doesn't hurt to ask, but I think it can be safely assumed. You get two keys, no valet key, but there is a valet mode with some options and MyKey meanwhile standard, which can to some degree allow you to create a valet key. It limits top speed to 80 MPH, throws in speed chimes, limits audio volume, and makes traction control unable to be disabled.

As for a checklist, not really, all I did was do a quick look for any damage and made sure all the options were actually on it and everything was there. The posts in question must have been lost somehow.
