Just got my new 2013 5.0

Hi Guys, i just got my 2013 5.0 yesterday. It is my first Mustang and i gotta say, i am just loving it so far! Just a few questions, how long of a break in period do they need?

As I was told.. Drive it like you want to always drive it. the ECU learns your driving habits from the 0 to 300 Miles. No break in period for the new motors.

Read your manual. There is usually good stuff in there. I have a Boss but mine says 100 miles vary speeds. Don't race til 1000, I think.

Obviously dont romp on it.

Read the instruction manual.

It says to vary RPM's and to avoid cruising at the same RPM for extended periods of time.

As per your new car,

hit the dragstrip before 200 miles.. At least that's what I did with my 2005 GTO back when it was new.. -- 13.03@108.96. Hopefully the Mustang beats that and becomes my fastest car I've owned stock, before I start modding.

The manual tells you everything you need to know. First 1000 miles try not to jam the brakes, and vary your speed when on the highway. After that have a ball. I know many say drive it like you stole it from day one. I just can't see it, especially when the manual says no-no.

Congrats, and enjoy the ride.
