i love the stripes... to each their own

 

Those wheels are growing on me. I'd love to see someone throw them on a GT, pop the SVT caps out, and switch them for something that fits a non-SVT car. No sense in trying to be a poser. Doesn't mean you can't like the wheels though.

 

That's my car minus the glass roof... Nice to see some more real life photos. I didn't like the thin stripe at first, nor the rear, but both are growing on me... Now, if only Ford would get mine off Ramp 51... I think it's been abducted!

Love the car. Like the stripes. I like that they are smaller. It also needed smaller stripes to distinguish it from a regular packaged GT500.

Best performing production Mustang ever made. Nuff said.

 

I didn't like the small stripes til I saw a few color combos with them. GB with white and black/red look hot. I don't know if you can get Kona with white with the PP, but I'd love to see it.

 

I think the black SVT package with the red stripes looks amazing.. on other colors not so much

 

Must be getting old. It would have looked better without the wimpy stripes. Baaa, hummm bug!

 

Thanks for posting the heritage reference pic eci, that helps things make sense and puts it into perspective. Still, I wouldn't look forward to looking at and forever justifying the too skinny, wimpy, import looking stripes. It ain't a GT40, it ain't '65 and it doesn't work.

The car already has so much flash, with the distinct front and rear ends, emblems and wheels. I'd keep the striped seats and leave the exterior in one colour.

(This is coming from someone with a 05 GT in silver with blue LeMans stripes a la 09 GT500KR, I didn't like it at first but the combo grew on me...because it does work. The skinny stripes, not so much)

 

Just played around with the Ford B&P site. The only stripe option for Kona with the SVTPP is Red/white. Don't know how I feel about that...
