I chose the Air Gap intake because I wanted it to be streetable and because it ain't a drag car by any means. I figured the Vic Jr would have been wasted on it.

Now that it's been retired from daily driving duties, my induction options going forward are (sorted by estimated price):

Dual quads -$1800
Vic Jr with fogger nitrous setup - $2k
Quad webers - $4k
6/71 blower with dual quads - $5k

A natural coyote can definitely make that rwhp number. Torque, that is another thing...

Listen, I spoke up because in the same thread it appeared you went from asking for help getting more power and fixing the 5600rpm drop off to agreeing you didn't need any more.

Heck, I never even criticized your parts choice, never mentioned the intake, only mentioned the cam because your peak rpm goals are tied to it.

It's your car and your money. If you are totally happy with 80% potential out of the motor and having the cache of saying you have a 427 in there then the only person that matters is happy. I, and and any other folks not as happy as you do not matter.

That being said, even though you can make plenty of power with the RPM, and there are LOTS of choices for a Windsor, IMO nothing looks as killer on a n/a motor as IDA's..

I was simply explaining my intake choice. I'm out of money for the moment (I've put about $28k into this swap so far), so I don't have the cash to experiment with fixing it. I want to change the cam and make sure the springs are right, and when I do that, I'll probably change induction system. For now, though, yeah, I'm happy with 80% because at this point, it's paid for.

Video of final run:

No worries, if your a/f is safe up top then enjoy the car. It sounds fantastic and the power will be more than any street tire will hold..

If your happy, then you made good choices.

Well I'm happy for you and it ain't even my car! Who cares how many ponies you got! I think it's awesome and even better yet you have future tweaking capability if you are so inclined to do!

I'd definitely make sure it's not running lean when at higher RPMs...the extra ponies might not matter but your engine remaining a single unit sure does.

That sound is intoxicating! Good on ya. Glad you're happy with the numbers, but the smiles are worth more than any dyno can give ya.

And it's just beautiful too!

If I have to cut the hood, it's gonna be a 6/71 with dual quads.

I think quad webers will fit under the hood.

Assuming a 15% parastic power loss through the trans, the car is making 504 hp at the flywheel.

We actually talked about that over the weekend. Make an adapter plate for a blower intake, mill off the top of the KB, make a carb adapter, and we're off and running. But it would be cheaper just to get a 6/71 setup.

Cheaper, true, but you're doing something different from most everyone else, and can you imagine the power? I'd think twice about milling the case too much though.. Why not work it out EFI and put a bug catcher on it, feeding it normally? That would be pretty sick to see/hear.... I wonder how many ci that blower could actually feed efficiently since it's past 1700hp under 6L..
