Invoice vs X-Plan
Invoice vs X-Plan
I have been talking to a dealer that seems to be willing to sell a 2013 GT Prem. at invoice plus rebates. If that is the case would that be better than the X-Plan pricing? If so I am not going to bother mentioning the X-Plan. Thanks
Yes, invoice is typically cheaper. Plus ford currently has a $500 cashback incentive a well as a $750 rebate you can get from ford by requesting a brochure. See if you can whittle him under invoice.
Thanks for the reply...thats what I was thinking. So far if I can get a little below invoice, along with the 500 rebate, 750 brochure and 500 for the college discount I should get it right where I need it to be.

It was $200 above invoice. I also got a $500 rebate which put it $300 under. Hopefully I'll get the $750 coupon and knock it down even further.
You can't use the college deal with X-Plan, or I would. So if you start at invoice price I would say with the $500, $500, and $750 you would get a pretty nice deal.
Yes, it depends on what fees the dealer will charge you. If x-plan is 200 dollars above invoice with a max of a 100 dollar doc fee then it might be cheaper than if the dealer decides to add on a 500 dollar "advertising and documentary" fee. Just ask for out the door price both ways.
Once you drop the X-plan bomb on a dealer/salesman they pretty much stop trying to work anything out. At least in my experience. They usually won't be Willing to hear your haggling of the non x-plan deal.
Gotcha...I will need to read more closely. I plan on ordering a GT Prem. I haven't really decided on what options yet. I am still torn on some of them...(brembo, comfort, CS edition, etc). Comes down to price and future mods of course.
I'll order cars at X-Plan all day long. Its quick, easy and in the end, everyone wins. Now if someone qualifies for college grad and has a PIN, I will just sell it for the sale price, forget the PIN and then use the college grad rebate, as you can't use it with an X-Plan sale. And just remember, you cannot combine the college grad rebate with the $750 certificate from the mail. Its always one or the other.

The FDAF fee that shows on all the VOCs and DORAs and invoices is already added into the price of X-Plan. If a dealer says they "have to add it" they are lying, straight up. The fuel charge and advertise fee is already calculated in the price for X-Plan.
I ordered X-Plan. It is fast, easy, straight-up pricing with no hassles at all - you can do it all via e-mail and a phone call. It is a good price too.
I think you CAN do a little better than X-Plan on the price with a LOT more work on your part - but not worth it to me.

Hmmmm...maybe "no hassles at all"?? Would love to hear a tale (maybe a warning too).
I should also preface my earlier post. I pre-ordered a 2013 exactly the way I want it with the X-Plan. In February I also walked away from a deal on a 2012 SGM that was almost what I wanted. It was approx. $3,500.00 below invoice. So if you are looking for a 2012 now and you are not picky, then I am sure you can do WAY better than the X-Plan.
