Installed: Stack Racing Black Billet Grilles
Installed: Stack Racing Black Billet Grilles
Bought these from American Muscle. Last billet grille we had was a CDC piece, and very high quality along with decent hardware. Due to the low price, I was extremely skeptical, but wanted to see for myself since the Roush grille is almost $300 after shipping charges.
AM is only one day transit time from me, so returning would not be a big deal in terms of days and cost.
This is a good choice for someone that is looking for an alternative to the OEM fogs. I certainly appreciate the retro nature of the fog grille,
but I personally prefer a more modern look. We're also eventually going with the Roush front bumper, so didn't want to have 2 sets of supplemental lights.

First off, the quality of these grilles is surprisingly very good!
They have a gloss finish as opposed to the older CDC grilles, which were more of a satin black.
The install is a different story. If you don't have patience...DON'T DO IT! It is a very annoying process of trying to get the grille positioned properly without scratching it up. I also broke one of the stupid tabs off the grille surround while removing it. Stack does provide color instructions, along with a small sheet of white paper. In the end, the grilles go on, but with at least 2 less brackets compared to the Roush kit. The final product has very minimal movement, but it would have been nice to have some extra reinforcement just in case.
Just a note - the Roush instructions that we read online tell you to remove the bumper, but this is not necessary. Also, the Roush instructions do not mention several bolts that appear to be required for bumper removal. So I recommend you follow them sparingly!
I included a picture of the Stack supplemental instructions - check out the broken English! "Install complete now" ROFL!
Tomorrow, we will be doing the CDC light bar. The CDC rear blackout is already in progress, used some clamps to allow the double-sided tape to adhere, and the piece (which is rubbery) to properly form to the trunk overnight!

For billet grille, it looks good man. I wish the lower grille shared the same spacing as the top, but no biggie. Very streamline.
And yea I like the directions too...
1.) Remove grille.
2.) Put in new grille.
3.) Screw into place.
That's not generic at all..

I agree on the bar spacing. Guess it's so small of an area that you'd end up with only 2 bars or so in that space! I thought about it, but went ahead and got both since at least that's more similar than having the billet upper and open lower.
LOL, I know, right? Why even bother with those instructions? It's almost insulting to one's intelligence

^mine we're overlays I got off ebaymotors and I cut out most of the stock grilles to allow more airflow also that is a 1969 pony fender emblem stick on I simply trimmed the mounting pins off and stuck it on
I added the billet grill from American Muscle as well along with the cdc chin spoiler.
I have no idea how to post pics, but if you go to my garage, it does look a little sic even with blackberry storm quality pics.

Looks great!
The white car has a completely different setup. Looks pretty hot for an overlay, cutting out the material really made a difference! With other cars, you can usually see the original grille way too easily. Nice job

The AM grill is the upper section only; the lower section comes with the chin spoiler, right?
EDIT -- I should have clicked the link before I asked, I see you can get the upper alone or the upper/lower
