Installed Saddle Leather in my Sunset Gold

Ever since I saw a Metallic Gold 1970 Mach 1 with Ginger interior ... I've been wanting to install the Saddle leather in my car. Ford only offered Sunset Gold with Black so it was never a factory option.

I put can ad on Craiglist and found a guy that wanted to swap interior's ... only problem was I had heated seats and he didn't ... so we had to swap the Bucket Upholstery instead of just the entire seat.

Here are some pics ... including picks of the factory heaters ....

Looks Good, The Saddle goes good with the Sunset Gold.

Looks good.

I will say again, I don't understand why Ford doesn't let you get whatever color combo you want from the colors they have.

Awesome Job. I think that looks great. Why do so many people blast Sunset Gold I think its a very sharp color especially if well kept. I just ordered a 2011 Yellow Blaze with those same rims !

If you had the Glass Roof, I'd steal your car.

PS, did you take pics while swapping the door panels? I wanted to know how hard they were to remove and what the sub enclosures looked like underneath...

Dan, you should paint your spoiler flat black to complete the look...

Looks really good, while at it, you shoul've added a few more layers of foam padding to make it extra firm and stretch the leather to make it fit. Just sayin'......

Panels are easy to remove takes less than 5 minutes. The sub is mounted to the door panel ... not to the door ...

Sorry ... have no pics of that ....

Cool thanks. I'll search around for a closer look at the subs. I'm curious as to the depth and volume available on the door sub enclosures. When people ask for replacement suggestions, I want to make sure I'm suggesting subs that will actually fit!

Definitely post your recommendations when you figure it out! Would love to upgrade the speakers/subs if there are better options out there.
