installed roush hood scoop today

I finally got my Roush hood scoop painted and installed today. I think it looks great. Here are a couple pics of the install and final product. Let me know what you think....

As for further mods, no more until about April next year when I will be able to afford the Roush stage 3 supercharger!!

I've got the same one in the same color. Super scary drilling into your hood but well worth it. Looks good!

Yea I measured and remeasured for about a hour before I started drilling. Lol. Better safe than sorry, but they make a good solid product

only way I'd ever consider that were if i made it functional by opening up the hood there so air flowed in for cooling.

Is it the fake thing or drilling into the hood? Can't help but notice the side scoop thingies on yours...

I must agree that having a non functional scoop does kinda suck. But it's hard to say the Roush hood scoops look anything less than spectacular.

oh neither. I just like the hood as it is from the factory. I think the Roush scoop looks great. That being said if I were to purchase one, I would want to open up the hood under it and make it functional. I see a SuperSnake style hood in my future.

Funny though, the vast majority of my past cars have had hood scoops, or vents.

'13 Mustang - Factory Louvers
'05 GTO - Factory nostril inlets
'98 GTP - Aftermaket nostril inlet fiberglass hood
'88 Trans Am - Factory Louvers
'87 Trans Am - Factory Louvers
'88 Camaro - Earlier model year nostril inlets

I'm a sucker for cars with hoods that have cool stuff going on.

The only reason I wouldn't do a Roush scoop now is that I'd have to get my hood stripes redone for it.

My hood scoop is not functional, the louvers are not functional, but it makes her look great!

Nice install. But I always thought that scoop looked better on the '10's - '12's; kinda felt it was an afterthought for the '13's...

Its only a $200.00 scoop vs a $700.00 shaker or a $500 to $700 hood I would go with the Roush Hood scoop it looks GREAT

When ordering a Roush,...you do have the option to do the hood scoop delete.

I like it! You know... one I have yet to see on a 2010+ is an even larger scoop like the 429 Boss... If someone knows of pics, please send me a link to one!
