Wow bro. That looks fantastic. This is the ultimate mod. Hope to do it in the next couple years.

So you are getting close to 600 whp? From a ford whipple 650 hp kit? What other mods? And did you do the install yourself?

Thanks bud. The kit is a 700 flywheel horsepower kit. I only have 92 octane in Washington so it should be outing out 680 at the flywheel when the tune is worked out. I got the kit from Evoperform.com. Go there and they have multiple kits available. We looked over the dyno sheets and came to the conclusion that I am running a little rich in the higher rpms so we have some room to lean it out a little. Expected numbers after that should be about 625 rwhp 540 rwtrq. That also fits in with a 12 percent loss due to the drivetrain. I have bbk headers, a catted bbk x an aluminum drive shaft, JLT air intake stage two spec clutch and the rest are body mods. I installed it with help from friends, took 13 days and a few speed bumps and I installed the drive shaft headers and supercharger over that 13 day period. Thanks and check out the vid I posted

2.3L. It's the same as the ford racing 624hp kit but Evo perform added a 123 mm jlt intake which lets it breath better. My air/fuel ratios are a little rich in higher rpms so the tuner is going to look at leaning it out a little more.

 

Nuthin wrong with a little rich on the top end. Much safer than lean.

Yup. Seems like its pushing the hp limits of the stock bottom end so rich is good. Glad you're enjoying and congrats on the really good numbers.

 

Thanks yeah it's a blast to drive but I need some stickier tires and a little more suspension tuning to make it all useable.

 

Good luck with tire options. I have to run drag radials to stay glued to the road. Anything else will spin at almost any speed. Drawback is I have to avoid water. Lol

Yes it did. The shop I did the dyno at is doing a little tweaking to the tune.

 

Sounds amazing! What exhaust do you have? Looks like you have the 14" rotors on the rear too?

 

Good attention to detail!! Yes I have 14 inch drilled and slotted all the way around. Baer brake upgrade kit on the back. My exhaust is bbk lt, catted x pipe and Roush mufflers.

 

Gregtommy - Are you running an MT82 transmission, or did you upgrade?

If you're still running an MT82, and If you're car is mostly a street car, toss some 3.08 gears in it. You will find the car's driveability vastly improve, and tire spinning will be reduced. With that much power on the street, you don't need the short gearing the MT82 provides over a Tremec, nor the increased torque from 3.31 or lower gears.
