I'm considering lemoning my 2012 mustang gt
This is the third attempt by my dealer to repair my front suspension squeak. All they do is keep changing control arms and the noise would come back 2 months later. I keep taking days off of work to go to the dealer. According to google 4 attempts must be made to fix any one problem in order to lemon it. I still need 1 more attempt since this is my 3rd. Thing is I don't want to pay for a lawyer, do you think if I talk to the service manager at my dealer he'll take care of it for me in terms of lemoning the car and giving me a refund? I paid the car off with cash.
the suspension squeak is very bad though, it's pretty loud and it's over every small bump. Imagine driving on the local and constantly hearing a loud squeak. it sounds like I'm driving a 1990 car or something

try driving and brand new gt vert with a bad clutch pack for two weeks. You dont want to put the top down and show off you brand new $$$$ car.
lemon law is for things like the motor and tranny. Give another dealer a try.

really WD40? my dealer tried everything, silicone grease etc. they just can't get rid of it. I'm on my 3rd control arm and possibly 4th. I took a day off today to go to the dealer. The manager said they must contact Ford through the hot line to find out what Ford wants them to do. This means I have to take ANOTHER day off to take it in and let Ford do what they want....like replace another arm.
Each state's lemon law varies. The fact that it is a noise doesn't mean you dont have a case. If the dealer has tried to fix it, than you can pursue the remedies provided for in your state's law Usually a number of repair attempts or a number of days at the dealer for repairs is what is required, along with a final demand to repair letter sent directly to Ford. Ford would not have a choice if you have met the criteria. I lemoned a 2003 Cobra and later a 2006 Trailblazer SS both for noisy rearends, no attorney was necessary. Ford was much easier to deal with, and remember you dont have to take their first offer to resolve after you have filed with the bbb, which is always an extended warrenty. I would suggest checking with your state's attorney general for your options. Just because it is a noise/squeek doesnt mean it couldn't evolve into something hazardous.

If Ford corporate doesn't offer a suitable resolution, a permanent fix that doesn't result in repeated repairs because eventually you'll be out of warranty, hit them with the BBB. BBB has a great Auto Line program and they'll contact Ford corporate and get their attention. I had a similar issue with my wifeys Malibu and after months of futility, BBB had a fix from Chevy for me within a week of filing a claim
