im confused...
My car is scheduled to come in this week. I bought the boss 302 front and asked if I could drop it off to him and have it installed before I pick up the car. He said that he knows they won't do it because they only deal with the mechanical aspects of the car, not bodywork. Says that I have to bring it to a body shop to install it. Is this true?
I don't really think a body shop is needed but if you can't do it and the dealer doesn't want to touch it then that's what id do
Don't let the swap scare you though. It's really easy, I mean really easy. I did CS front and roush grill and it was done in an hour. Help from a friend isn't needed but makes it a lot easier to deal with.

John,
Don't be! You can totally do this at home buddy! Fascia swaps are one of the easiest, quickest, and bang-for-the-buck modifications that any enthusiast can do. A set if hand tools and some time is all you'll need!

To get the front bumper off there are only a hand full of screws and a bigger hand full of push pins. Do not let it scare you. You will be thinking about how hard it's going to be until the bumper snaps off and then your going to be kicking yourself for thinking it would be hard at all, just have a flat surface to work on the bumper and a blanket do you dont scratch it. And again a friend isn't needed but if you have a second set if hand it make installation way easier

Look at the directions for the roush or saleen grill, it tells you how to take off the front fascia. To get the lower grill off, best way I can tell you is start pulling straight out. The snaps will release and putting the new lower in is even easier.
