If you could mod one thing?
Im with you. What a difference. Thats the way it should be. They act like they are adding somthing to make it look bigger if its colored. The piece is still there its just black. Who cares if it looks smaller if it does not look good.
Tampa can you do the same thing on a full rear shot?

What did you change on the taillights? I'm not seeing it. And the black plastic looks the same other than the subtle diffuser fins added in.
Look a little closer Steven, I changed quite a bit. I lowered the edge of the trunk about 3 inches and brougnt the inside corners of the tail lights down to line up with the lower edge of the trunk to eliminate the "Dip" in the tail lights, making the Border that goes around the entire rear end the same width.
Then I cut the top part of the diffuser off, slightly reshaped it and made it body color including the full license plate pocket. The fins on the diffuser were already there but I changed that as well I cut it and moved it up, and further forward tucking it up under the bumper more.
Thanks for the compliments, DarkCandy08GTand Fdjizm, Unfortunately Others like Steven's comment just goes to show no matter what is done, most people that don't like the 2010 are just dead set on not liking it. Either that or I've gotten really good with my Photshoping skills.

I'd agree that the rear end is the least successful aspect of the redesign. It is just a bit too overstyled with too many angles and elements that just don't cohere very well in the end. The black diaper looks a bit too full diaper lending a kind of droopy, draggy, saggy look to the lower valance. The taillights themselves end up being a bit too busy and there are just a few too many creases, lines and angles sort of forced together. Ends up feeling a little bit of design by committee where everybody had a little bit of a say in what went into it.
Personally, I would have rather seen more a development from the '05 Concept than the current, which seems more related to the Giugiaro (sp-?) concept.

IMO, Ford could just change the shaping of the black similar to TB's chop. It's the way it protrudes at the top that makes it such an eyesore...
Change one thing? Thats easy. Remove the Chev. Avalanche bumper from the rear of the car.
Replace it with something similar to the photoshop you see here.....
Ford did a hellava job on everything else, but honestly, how Ford could possibly get a majority of the desigers to sign off on that rear end, is well, odd to say the least.

Well, the rear facia has already been mentioned, so the one thing I think needs addressed is the little triangle "mutton chops" on the lower front coners between the grill and the front wheels. Man, those look really bad and "drag inducing" to say the least. All that black plastic will make it a pain to wax, and looks like a Pontiac too.
Not if you use Zaino.
So did the '94-'98 tail light treatment, but I digress.

Or This With the Grill Uprights Painted.
In my opinion it makes it look like an 05-09
personally I was hoping for a fastback with factory quarter louvers, 'hips', no hockey stick crease, and the spear (or something) in the hood...to me every angle on the 010 just seems like it coulda been a little different...bigger headlight buckets woulda looked more 70-ish, not covering the top of the fogs wouldnt make the lights look like they came off the challenger, they coulda either 'closed' the hockey stick into the new crease, or deleted it (deleting woulda been more 70 boss302 stripe friendly), and I dont see why the new crease reappears after the wheel arch to disappear into nothing...I think smooth back there mighta been cleaner. the 'chamferred' rear corners are not something I ever recall seeing on any mustang, nor the tapered taillamps...to me it almost seems like they are wanting to get away from the 'retro' (hate that term) that worked so well in 05...but that was then, this is now, and the 010 is still a sharp car- just not one I'd crave...
