If I sit in a 2010 gt premium and a 2010 gt base will it be....

( 1 )...just the same as doing it in the 2011 GT lineup?????

( 2 ) I am trying to decide if I want base or premium and I am wondering what all the premium comes with besides shaker and leather. I like the seats in the premium but what else does it provide besides the shaker500 ?

( 3 ) Anyone got some decent comparison pics between base and premium interiors ?

Just trying to find a different way to ask the same question as your other thread?

Go on ebay and search for 2010 Mustang GT and there are lots of pics of the premium and base cars and the interiors.

And yes, the interiors are basically identical to the 2011.

well Ltngdrvr,...kinda, but my approach toward the whole buying process is about to begin and I am now mostly interested if the 2010 base had any changes going to the 2011 base so I can go sit in some and make my decision before the 11's even get here. I have the same question for 2010 premium vs 2011 premium. And thanks, I will try that.

GT Prem's dash is "6 gauge" standard is 4.
Plus premium offers the mycolor in gauges, halo, and ambient. Standard I believe just the numbers can switch.
Steering wheel is different.

Compare and contrast. The pics are out there.

The steering wheel will be the most obvious thing IMHO, after the difference in the seat materials. From the pics I've seen, they used the same cheap looking and feeling plastic steering wheel that came stock on my '08 GT. The first thing I did for my GT when I brought it home was order the leather wheel from a Bullitt.

one thing however small it may be to some but the 11 base has the messege center(miles to empty, trip, mpg) and the 10 base does not have it

Its very noticeable. I have a 2010 V6 Convert in base trim, Right after my brother had to out do me and bought same car but with premium, When the 2 cars are side by side, It stands out immediatly. Wheels, stripes on rockers, side scoops, interior, pedal, all of the above post.. Its very very noticeable, My wife wanted the base V6 Convert, Because she didnt want to get into a convert with leather.

Premium is worth every penny over base, IMO.

Base really cheapens the car. It isn't worth the savings.

Unless you really don't like leather seats, which I don't. Unfortunately I like many of the other items that come on the premium trim level. To get my ideal Mustang I'd have to order a premium '11 GT and swap cloth seats into it, but then I'd have to have the stupid trunk wart shaved off the trunklid. I'd probably go the cheaper route and get a base GT (with Brembo package) and upgrade the steering wheel and a few other interior items (like I did with my '08).

The only obvious difference I can think of between the 2010 and 2011 interior is the instrument panel. The speedometer now goes to 160 mph and the tachometer's redline is approximately 7000 rpm. Gauges are the same whether V6 or GT. I guess the base models now have the message center that only the Premium cars had in 2010. Oh, yeah, the navigation system radio (maybe the Shaker systems, too) now features HD radio.

I love my '10 base car. I did not want leather, but the message center would have been nice. Shaker stereo? No thanks. What is the issue with the steering wheel?

Is your steering wheel leather or plastic?

Base wheel is plastic and Premium has a nice leather wheel. I ordered a 300A base car, because I did not think it was worth it to spend $3k more. Don't care about leather seats or stereo upgrade. I will upgrade the wheel myself with this one

http://www.partscheap.com/Bullitt_St...3z-3600-fa.htm

and be done with it.

Base wheel is here for comparison http://file.walagata.com/w/trenchkra...-6-cockpit.jpg

Another shot of base interior http://file.walagata.com/w/trenchkra...6-interior.jpg

INTERIOR

6-gauge cluster w/MyColor™ - Oil and Voltmeter hmm. I set the color once and left it.

Ambient Lighting – Map pockets and Sill Plate, Cupholders,
Front & Rear Footwells - Tried the Ambient Lighting once, said WOW and turned it off. Haven't used it since.

Auto-Dimming Mirror - So What

Bright Aluminum Accent Dash Appliqués, Pedal Covers Scuff
Plate, Shifter **** - See above Get the Appliqué of your choice and save $$$

Bright Chrome Door Speaker Surrounds - Bling!!!

Door Trim Panel Inserts - wow

Gloss Paint Center Stack and Console - Custom

Leather Steering Wheel w/Brushed Spokes - Change it and save $$$

Satellite Radio (6 mos. Complimentary SIRIUS®
Subscription, N/A in AK & HI) - Might be nice if I were an Audiophile but I don't like warts.

Seats – Leather, 6-way Power Adjustable Driver, 2-way
Adjustable Head Restraint and Power Lumbar - Power seat - adjusted it once and have not touched it since. This car is my first and LAST leather car. Only the front seat centers are leather.

Shaker 500 - Ehhh
• SYNC® - could care less

I guess I don't pass the test. If I order a 2011, it'll be a base car.

See... I am kinda leaning the same way. It seems like most of the premium stuff is all stuff I could change later anyway and actually have some fun picking the stuff out and putting it on. I am kinda leaning towards base and picking my own steering wheel, shifter ****, door insert, dash panel, etc out at a later date.

Quick Reply: If I sit in a 2010 gt premium and a 2010 gt base will it be....
