ICE Wax

Has anyone used the wax ICE? Just seems to be a nice option with all this black plastic. What do you guys put on your black plastic for some shine?

I never put anything on the plastic, just clean the dirt off it really well. There isn't really anything (that I know of) that shines up the plastic without drying it out and ruining it.

You are talking about the ICE synthetic spray quick detailer, correct?

I was wondering about that too . . . but I was planning to use 303 on the lower valence plastic but haven't actually done it yet.

That's what I use on my cladding.

If you're a hamfisted ******* when you wax, put some blue painters tape on the cladding, then come back later with something to clean/protect the skirts. 303 works well, Back 2 Black is good if you keep on it, and Black Wow is another product that seems to have great results.

Don't worry, I tell it like it is. I've been there once or twice myself, before I knew any better.

Are you asking about the Ice synthetic liquid polish made by Turtle wax? If so, I started using it when it first got released to the public. You can apply it to your whole car before removing it. You can use it on black trim, plastic headlight and tail light lenses and rubber also (not to be used on glass). Zero white residue. Most of the time i use Mothers back to black on my black trim.

Liquid Ice doesn't give the high gloss shine paste wax gives but its so easy to use. It seems to be a very gental polish. I used it on my last car every month for the three years i owned it and it didn't hurt anything, but i gave it a good paste waxing two times a year.

I just spray my wet tire shine onto a terry cloth and swipe it all the way down. takes all of 10 seconds.
