Yeah, My Blend date was yesterday, I'm just waiting to see it flip. hopefully the car is ready by today at the latest and the system just hasn't updated yet. we are in the same boat!

 

Nice man! The whole past month I haven't given it much thought, but this morning I started to get the butterflies lol

 

lol I TOTALLY know what you mean! this is a very special car to me for a lot of reasons.

1- my first ever rear wheel drive car.
2- first ever V6. i've always had 4 bangers.
3- first ever North American built car.
4- This is not my first NEW car, but it is my first car customized exactly how I wanted it built!

for these reasons, I'm really hoping that I will keep this car for a very long time and hope to be happy with it for the next decade (at least)

truth be told, ever since I placed the order for this car, It feels like every other car on the road is a mustang. I cannot believe how many new and older mustangs are on the road and how well kept they are! its all very promising.

AHA - I had no idea it wasn't official. That explains why I couldn't find this anywhere online and had to ask for it here within the forum!

 

So CA started this preorder program last year for the legacy plates - the black/yellow text one looks identical to the plate used in 1944. They needed 7500 preorders for each plate to be put into production, and two nights ago they passed 7500 on the black one, which is the one I wanted. In honor of D-Day, I'm placing the order for DDAYP51 today! The other two, DDAY302 and DDAY GT will be my 2nd and 3rd choices in case someone ordered it before me, but as of right now DDAYP51 is available...

ETA bumped up to 6/26 today...hmm...I already made an appt for the DMV so I'll just make another one. Gonna make plane tickets expensive if I have to wait to the week of to book them.

 

Car ordered from Washington?

 

Yep ordered from Five Oh Brian. Since I had X-plan anyways, I really didn't need to, but I just didn't want to give my local dealers any of my business. We used to have a really good sales guy but he retired. His son still works there but I never liked dealing with him.

 

Yeah, mine bumped up 3 days today as well.... don't know what to make of it. I'm still hoping that it arrives tomorrow.

 

Brian just emailed me and said 7/1. Oh well, like I've been saying, gets here when it gets here. I just want to have a dmv appt so I'm not waiting all day. I'm putting my HOONIGT plates on until the DDAY ones come some time next year.

 

She's arrived!! I don't get to pick up until 7/5 though

 

it LOOKS AMAZING! nice of your sales guy to send you a few snap shots. i would though make sure that they park that car in-between the LINES! to avoid any fender benders within their own lot!
