I need help on buying a mustang please help
Hello everyone my car has recently died and i'm now in the market for a new one.I've always loved the new look of the mustang and i'm pretty dead set on getting one, this will be my first sports car by the way. i've recently come across a 2010 v6 coupe basic module, ( don't really care to much for the gt such im driving it for looks not speed) The car has 52,000 miles with a asking price of 16,995. what i'm concered about is that its only 2 years old and has 50,000 miles on it already.
The car does come with a carfax and it seems that the previous owner ( there was only 1) did take care of the car doing regualr maintenance checks ups every couple months or so, but he did end up replacing the rear break pads, rotors resurfaced, air filter replaced, and fuel filter replaced aT 43k miles. the car comes with a 2 month warranty.
Is it a good deal, is there anything i should look out for? what can i being looking forward to at 75,000 miles and 100? should i get an extended warranty? anything would help, Thanks guys! and gals!

I can't comment on the V6 since my last two Mustangs were/are GTs. But I can tell you the '05 I traded on the '12 I'm currently driving was the most reliable car I've ever owned. Beyond the normal stuff like brakes and tires, the only thing I actually had to fix was to replace the diode pack in the alternator (about $50 at a local shop if I remember correctly).
You might want to look at what's the first year for the 3.7 V6. That engine has considerably more power and better MPG than the old 4.0.

Well the seller is selling it for pretty much the Blue Book price, so the price seems fair. Everything that he replaced just sounds like basic maintinence so i don't see much of a problem with the car.
With the miles that high though it was definitely the owners DD and probably through the winter months as well which could be a problem if you get moderate snow in the winter.
Whenever i buy a used car i take it to my mechanic togive it a full inspection, usually costs me $150 CAD, that will tell me whether or not to buy the car.
To me as long as everything is sound with the car it sounds like a good deal, its not a steal but the owner isnt ripping you off.

I have owned the 4.0L V6 Mustang.
They only get a little better gas mileage than a V8 (1 to 2mpg city).
Better off looking for an older V8 with the same amount of miles or a high miles 2011 V6 IMO.
FYI: I sold my loaded premium 2007 V6 for less than $15K just 3 months ago and it only had 16,000mi. on it.

Remember, the 2010 didn't have the LS standard.
One wheel burnouts aren't really all that much fun.
Car Fax should show if it was a rental.
Id look for a used 2011 v6 or new 2012 v6 for a little more money now. 4.0 v6 will cost you more in the long run due to much lower resale as well as giving up fuel mileage and they have old 7.5 open rear as opposed to the new cars having lsd 8.8 rear.Or you could look for an 07/08 gt for similar money.

I've posted before that the '10 V6 is the ONLY car I've had that I would buy again if I had it to do over. Sometimes I wish I would've waited for the '11 or bought a '10GT... but this one's been absolutely trouble free, and has the best fit and finish of the eleven vehicles purchased new since 1994 (we used to put about 60K miles per year on both vehicles). 5 other Fords are among those that have been disappointing... and sadly, the Taurus is one of them.
for the same monthly payment you could buy a new 2011-12 V6 mustang. You will get a better APR since the car is new and maybe some rebates. I think the new mustangs still have a $1500 rebate. The higher apr you would pay for the used mustang would make the monthly payment about the same. Also the new v6 get way better mpg.
Horrible deal. Don't buy it!
