OK so I was updating my sct x3 tuner today for my 2010 gt. The firmware updated fine then after it was done downloading the tune revision and verifying the update it gives me an error and even though the tuner its self said the update was finished on its screen it is not uploading my tunes from bama! I have 2 parts that need tunes a steeda cai and frpp hot rod cams and now my car has stock tuning! Can i drive my car this way with out damaging anything?? Can i use the strategy tune section of my tuner if some one can get me the air to fuel numbers and all?? I need my car to get to work on monday . . . someone please help

I'd stick the stock air inlet back on, should be okay to drive then.

s3phf1re,

I'm sorry about the problems that you're having with your SCT tuner. It sounds like a firmware issue that caused the glitch, and I'm sure that SCT will get you squared away! The issues with SCT devices are pretty far and few. We send out thousands of tunes each month and most of our customers load them up right away and are ready to go! I'm sorry that it happened to be you that fell in the small percentage of issues.

Occasionally there are errors, but SCT and the Bama team will work hard to get you back on the road and enjoying your custom tunes! We've been talking with SCT for the last few weeks to get this updated firmware out there. We've been manually updating our tuners before they ship to the newest 1.2.142 firmware, so that customers don't have to worry. SCT is confident that it's solved, and we've been testing the new firmware on our own fleet of Mustangs just to make sure! I would recommend contacting SCT so they can work with you to get the device issues worked out & if you need any revisions to your actual Tune let me know. Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 10AM-3PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

We appreciate your patience while SCT & Bama get you taken care of.

- Dan

Should be fine to drive since the stock MAF is working with the stock tune, any airflow changes made by the cams are compensated by the MAF.
