IMHO, the new S281 Saleen has THE BEST Mustang body kit out there. The front is PERFECT and the rear is SWEET with just the right amount of black between the pipes ONLY and below the license plate cutout.

 

I like the central part of the Saleen front facia, but not so keen on the overlarge outter vents.

I think if Ford had painted the edges of the front facia on the GT/CS, it would have looked odd against the black side sills.

I'm still not sure whether the side sills should be painted though. I've seen some that look good, others that make the car look a bit fat. Perhaps it all depends on the angle

 

As far as that opening goes, that looks like a direct update to the lower opening of the GT/CS of '07-'09. That's how they should have made it look for the 2011 GT/CS. Other than those vents on the sides, that would be exactly how I'd envision the new GT/CS bumper cover if I hadn't already seen what Ford did.

 

Yeah I like the Saleen fascia, that lower grille as an GT/CS update would've been nice but the actual one is fine, just different. Oh and me too John.

 

I to really like the looks of the Saleen fascia but that lower grille will have ZERO airflow and I'd be shocked if it makes it on any car that Saleen actually sells. The Mustang is a bottom feeder and the pin holes in that lower grille cover won't let anything thru.

Anyone else notice ithe Taurus LED's below the corner markers? Slick!

 

I was surprised Ford did not retain that cue unique to the GT/CS. It would have been a perfect fit for the 2011.

 

Don't like it at all Fake scoops, cheesy decals, ugly spoiler..

 

Not a fan of this front either- just a V6 type grill and the lower air dam doesn't flow well visually to me...I would have done something more like this:

 

I just noticed something.... The 2011 BOSS 302R's lower front bumper is very similar to the new GT/CS'. It might be exactly the same, but it's hard to tell because the angles are widely different.

 

the BOSS 302Rs front bumper has the air ducts to cool the brakes off whereas the GT/CS has foglights in those locations. u know, the GT/CS reminds me of the appearance package for the V6 mustang that was available on the 09 Mustang V6.
