Should be adjustable.

Actually, I've gotten used to SYNC in the Mustang. I just assume it will always do the wrong thing so I pretty much ignore it. I expect that if I say "call home" it will say "deploying airbags" or something equally stupid. Still, the screen and navigation work well so I'm content to forget about voice commands.

But it's nowhere near as bad as the My Ford Touch in the 2013 Edge that I finally ditched because nothing ever worked properly and it had four complete steering assemblies replaced in the first year. Not only does MFT not do what you say, half the things you want to do are only on the "touch" screen which is more like a "bang" screen because it is so unresponsive to touch. So you have to take your eyes off the road for simple things like the seat heaters just to find the screen buttons and then to see if it actually responded. Even the controls that aren't on the screen are flat panel "touch sensitive" so you can't tell if you got the right one or if anything happened without looking down at them. Replaced it with a Kia Sorento and couldn't be happier.

Hi xtc.inc,

If you switch 911 Assist to ON once, it will save your settings and no longer remind you upon entering the vehicle. You'll find more information about this feature here: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...-overview-sync

Android Note2, but the phone is not the issue...it is software of Sync that is issue.....Never once will it remember what it was doing last.....I sometimes like others say, holds up in phone, so either turn off the car to get to release or wait it out....Sometime Sync will go into mute mode....I have checked the latest and greatest version or at least that is what it says online, but yet I can not tell if it does in the car. I have it once tell me that the bluetooth on the Sync was turned off....after I turned the car off and waited abit, started back up and life was good.

Oddly enough, mine always remembers what source was in use last time - radio, satellite, USB or CD - it starts up right where it left off.

Mine too. Only issue is I have allot of music on one thumb drive. Every once in a while I get a message can not play this file type. I go out of the USB source menu and back it plays fine. I am in the electronic industrie working for a large manufacturer. USB is a pain in the A$$. Nothing is really standard. There is a timing issue and if you are finding one not working get another brand.

Mine will not remember about 95% of the time....usually reverts back to radio....I stop for gas and then start it back up, back to radio....It will remember what the USB drive was playing last when I flip it back. I have pretty much got away from issuing commands by voice...since it wont understand my anger of not knowing all the commands.

Hey WhiteBird00,

If you haven't already done so, log in at: http://support.ford.com/ to make sure you're running the most current software version. These suggestions to improve voice recognition may also be helpful: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...phonebook-sync

This phone has been tested with SYNC and it is confirmed as being compatible: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...atibility-sync

The basic troubleshooting steps listed on this page should improve your experience with SYNC. Give them a try and let me know what happens: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...eshooting-sync

Get a belt extender from Ford. They're free and solve this problem by changing the angle of the strap.

I said the same thing about my 06... thought about trying to adapt a minivan tip/slide track, those things are easy/simple/great for folks with kids...

I think it should be abundantly clear by now from customer feedback that just because the phone has been lab tested and declared compatible doesn't mean it's going to work predictably in the wild. There are far too may people with all manner of issues, a great many of whom are tech savvy. Which makes the whole experience even more frustrating.

I'm a happy camper as long as the Sync lady hits the After-Burner when I command it.

I think Ford dropped the ball in not installing an Oh God bar above the passenger door. And there isn't enough travel on the steering wheel tilt range.

For those that say it's not staying set to USB, are you unplugging your device before you turn the car off?

If I take my iPod out of the car when the accessory is still on, it diverts to Line-In. If I leave it plugged in, it reverts back to USB, every time.

I think I have EVERYBODY beat with my rant. My problem isnt with the car itself per-se, it`s trying to get a refund from Ford Credit that is owed me. Last month, I PIF`d my 2014 V6, and also decided to cancel the 3rd party ( non Ford ) ESP - since obviously I`ll never use it. Check sent in to Ford to pay the note off.... Cancellation notice sent to ESP company.... Since Ford is the listed lienholder, and I dont yet have the paperwork saying said note is paid.... Refund MUST go to Ford first...who will in turn send me the money..... Sucks, but nothing can be done about it...... it is what it is. On 12/10 the ESP provider cuts a check for $2,075.56 and mails it to Ford. Ford Posts this to my account ( with a 0 balance ) on 12/16 and lists the balance at < - $2,075.56 >. Should just be a simple issuing of a check and its over and done with..... right?

The fun begins......

I call multiple times to check the status of when will this be processed.... Each time I call I get a date that check will be issued/mail..... Time to come in the mail passes.... I call back...... Well that must not have been right..... It was sent on this date.... OK......10 more days pass.... NOOOOOOOOOOO CHECK! Call back.....That wasnt right either..... We just know for sure it went out on the 9th......... Mail comes today...... Still NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Check.

I`d just love to have sync being my only problem... just saying

Sounds like a major PITA with Ford.

Although my Mustang is financed through another bank, my new Fusion is leased thru Ford Red Carpet, as were my previous four Ford leases. To FoMoCo's credit each lease transaction couldn't have been easier, including early turn-ins and exceptionally reasonable excessive wear charges. Ford has done right by me, including $3750 in incentives on the Mustang. I plan on staying with them for my next lease.

I certainly understand where you're coming from, wannabe. Many factors can play a role in how a certain phone will interact with SYNC. Since Bentnail's phone has been confirmed as being compatible with SYNC, I thought it was a good idea to offer some basic troubleshooting tips.

As always, let me know if you have any questions about your SYNC system.
