Ask $500 and you have some wiggle room to bargain to where you are most comfortable.

Take it all apart and sell all the parts on e-bay. You'll be making a bunch more $$$ .

Is the piston melted? Cylinder wall scored?

Okay, yeah, how much it's worth depends on how bad off it is.

Here's a pic of the #8 piston. I'll have more pics up when I receive them.

The condition of the cylinder wall is the most important.

That piston is trash and if it scored the cylinder wall then it will need a new sleeve and that will cost plenty making the block worth that much less.

Thanks!

There are a couple more pics in my thread about the issue. When my car is ready ( maybe tomorrow) I'll take more pics.

Let me know how much you're willing to sell it for... I just started on a 4.6 stroker build... but I can always switch over :P

It's not scrap guys. Even the engine builder 20+ years and designed engines for Ford says the cylinder wall is clean the block is still good. Just need to replace the # 8 piston and it's rods.

Just got the car back today!!!! Thanks to Blue Collar Performance in Westland MI!

In that condition, $650 isn't a bad asking price. The cylinder wall looks to be in pretty good shape. The piston and rod, not so much.
