I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bringing her home on Wednesday!

Trading in my vert on a 2011 triple black 5.0 vert with 6 speed manual, electronics package, comfort package, and 19 inch wheels. It was really an impulse decision, but the deal wasn't finalized until my better half left for a business trip So put a deposit down and have to wait until Wednesday to complete the paperwork.

Only things I regret NOT getting are the backup camera wing and 3.73s, but the latter is obviously not possible with the vert. I originally wanted the HIDs badly until I saw some cut-off pictures, and decided I'd rather have the black housing halogen lights.

Can't wait to bring her home!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be posting some odds and ends in the For Sale section too.

I have a feeling I am going to regret buying a black car, lol. Our 2004 F150 was black, and ugh!!! But they look sooooo good when they are clean! We just went into a local dealership to poke around, and the trade value came in...more than I expected. And the rest is history!

I totally feel you on that. My 08 GT was candy red, and going from that to black is well like a part time job, but is worth it if its kept clean and waxed.

I read on another one of your posts u had low mileage on your 07, thats what I had on my 08 so my trade in value was the deal breaker for me as well.

Oh and

I'm happy for you. I think the dealer can add the reverse camera and spoiler if you want one bad enough. I love mine on my V-6.

I'm not sure if this is insinuating that I shouldn't have traded in a 2007 after 3 years. That wouldn't be very nice in a thread where I am super excited about the new arrival, so I'm sure I'm reading it wrong. Especially since it seems like many of the new 2011 owners owned a 05-09. But just to clarify, since I brought it up, I'm solvent and work very hard. My tax bill is proof that I do WAY more than my fair government dictated share of "fixing" the economy. I also live in a home that is currently mortgaged for less than 1 year of our annual income. So no worries about my influence on the economy!

Way to go! Sounds like a nice choice, especially since you are familiar with the convertible!

Thanks Cars are definitely our weakness! No drinking, gambling, big house, or expensive vacations...just a vice of the FOUR-WHEELED variety, hehe

Congratulations! I made a couple of compromises when I bought my 2011 but, having put about 600 miles on it in a little over a week, I have absolutely no regrets. I love my 2011 and have no doubts you'll love yours too!

Thanks! I figured the electronics package is probably the hardest thing to add, so I went for that.

Although there was a black coupe with the Brembo package that had me really thinking about going back to a hardtop...but no NAV. I usually do aftermarket navigation, but after playing with SYNC and the entire unit as a whole, I was sold...hook, line, and sinker! Not crazy about the price, but I think Ford's offering is probably the best out there, even better than my Acura.

Congrats! I didn't even know you were looking.

The diaper doesn't show up on black.

It is always more effective asking for forgiveness than permission. Your tactical maneuver and timing are impeccable. As a precaution though, a bouquet of roses might not be a bad idea... just in case.

Black, huh? Lots of wax on wax off. CONGRATS AND ENJOY!
