I canceled my order today
I'm happy to check, but Ted ordered a "needle in a haystack." There are very few base GT's ordered for store stock, much less a base GT in yellow.
As others have already explained, the compound of your tires get hard / brittle in the cold and will not adhere to the road. There is a warning sticker in your driver's side door jamb.
I have the F1 supercar tires....If I drive normal..not getting on it at all and shifting keeping the RPMs low to get from point A to B...its there really that big of an issue with these tires? I can understand trying to excelerate....but just normal easy driving in 20 to 40 degree weather?

You shouldn't be driving a GT500 in the winter anyway. I bought a used car for my winter driving and keep my Shelby in my garage. Winter tires will run you at least 2k for the Shelby so kick in a couple more and buy a winter beater.
I have to drive on my F1 Supercar tires until my new Blizzaks/GT500 wheels from Shaun arrive. It was -5 degrees C (so 23 degrees F) and handling/stopping/etc all seemed ok. I'm definitely driving very cautiously, but from what some people have posted here I'll drive even more cautiously tomorrow.
When I ordered my 05 from a small dealer in Indiana they told me 6-8 weeks. I got my 05 GT nine months later. It wasn't the dealerships fault. They didn't know the backlog on the things at the time. They were used to ordering trucks. Like I said, it was a dealer in a small town. The showroom only held two cars. When my car finally arrived it was a big event in town!!! It arrived on a Tuesday and I couldn't get to the dealership until that Saturday. They were kinda bummed I was taking it cause of the stir it caused.
They'll be getting your car in at the worst time of year for a Mustang..
Wait a couple of months, till about the end of Jan. and if you still want it (the car will obviously still be there) you could prob get it for $5k less.

Ted, I understand you're upset, and you have every right to be. I had a similar situation happen with a co-worker/friend who ended up canceling the order and getting a loaded 2010 Challenger R/T instead. The problems were identical to yours.
If you truly want the car, don't let the dealer sour your ambitions. Another, more willing dealer, will more than satisfy your needs. It appears that 50B is trying to help out, which might be an option. In the end, if you truly want a Mustang, find another dealer and get it from someone who wants to sell you the car in a reasonable amount of time, and who gives you the respect you deserve, being someone dropping $30k+ on a vehicle.

I don't know about $5K less, but you've got the right idea. Let the car sit all winter and buy it when they're ready to give it away.

, whatever). If you live somewhere with real winter weather and you have to get somewhere reliably, get winter tires and enjoy your car. If you want to save your car in a ziplock bag so your kids can put it on eBay to pay your assisted living bill 40 years from now, well that's your choice too....ned.
I don't understand this idea at all. If I would be satisfied driving a ****ty beater, I wouldn't have bought a ________ (fill in the blank: GT500, BMW, Corvette, Mugen Civic
