How about using Plasti Dip to protect it? looks easy enough to take off...

When i look at the taillights on the pictures of this product, it makes me think of an anime girl crying. Big wet eyes.

that will work ... but the best idea is -- drive backwards -- then dust off the headlight covers!

seriously, its gonna happen; there's not much you can do except keep a microfiber cloth with you -- i keep one on the back seat for quick wipe downs

I understand that when I ride my Mustang, there will be some dust deposits, I am not an idiot. But my frustration comes from that fact that the dust comes back few minutes after I finished cleaning it and I have not even start the engine yet, it's still parked. I don't live near a quarry for god sake, but I carry now a few cloths in the trunk...

The problem is if you dust the tail lights you will get fine scratches. The only way to clean the back end is by washing it. Get some ONR and make some detailing spray with it. I have only washed my back end and have never dusted it dry and still see fine scratches in the tail lights housings. Tried plastic x and swirl x. They help some but you can still see them. Just like the radio display wipe that once and its fine scratch hell.

I knew this would be an issue on the 13's as soon as I saw it in person at the car show. It's a dust, fingerprint and swirl magnet. I would love to have that problem though. Lol!

Are the panel and the black part of the rear lights made out of the same material as the radio display? lol

I was at Fabulous Ford Forever and they had a few '13s at their booth. The rear looked all messed up already... not just swirls I mean light scratches. Yeah, I'm sure people want to touch it, but I'm pretty sure no one did it with anything other than their fingers...

If anyone is brave enough to have their gloss black tail panel plastic sand/media blasted I would really be curious how it would turn out.

I think someone who has decent experience with blasting could give you a nice matte finish.

I believe 800 grit wet sanding would do the trick as well but not with as much uniformity and consistency as the blasting...
