Husky vs. Weathertech

Well, I've procrastinated too long, and the "dead pedal" area on the far left of the drivers side floor has started to fade. D*** you Ford for not putting a plastic cover there like every other car has!!

So I'm trying to decide between the Husky mats or Weathertech. One thing I don't like about the Weathertech is the big logo right in the middle of the mat. It looks kinda tacky. But Weathertech is supposed to be the "better" brand, right?

Husky vs. Weathertech

We have weathertech in our explorer and they took a beating and still held their shape. You might be able to take off the weathertech sticker though. I don't have any experience with the husky ones so I can't help you there.

I've seen the Weathertech in person, and the logo is actual raised lettering integrated into the mold of the mats. And I'm really only getting these to prevent the carpet from fading and make it easier to clean. Not necessarily durability. Just in case that influences anyone's opinion...

I have weathertech in my pathfinder and husky floor and trunk liners in my 14 mustAng gt. I like the husky liners because they cover dead pedal area very good.

My weather tech mats just had a logo glued onto the mat itself. Fit and finish were perfect. But my logo fell off on both mats after about 8-10 separate high pressure washes.

I have the Husky. They protect the dead pedal and are tough. What I don't like is their tendency to move and deform. This is a bigger problem on the passenger side though.

Don't want to vote because I'm planning on trying the Weathertech at some point. Could be better...

I just put a set of Weather Techs in my car....the logo is along the exterior side, towards the rear. It's not molded in and it peeled right off...no residue, no problems. I believe the Ford Racing rectangular sticker or emblem will fit where the Weather Tech one was....it's about a 1 1/2" x 4" or so slightly recessed area.

Would one of you Weathertech folks take a picture like pss3286's?

The Husky liners are cheaper as well. I think I paid under 215 dollars shipped for floor liners and trunk liners after a holiday promotional 10 percent off

What do you mean by deform? Like warp and shrink? That's pretty bad

But it looks like the consensus here is Weathertech. So I should easily be able to peel off the Weathertech logo from the mats?

I have Weather Techs in my leased Fusion, but my Mustang only sees dry weather so I have no need for them. I do have 2 sets of carpeted floor mats though. I use the factory mats for driving around, and I keep an embroidered GT set in the trunk and pull them out for shows and cruise nites.

Yeah mine only sees dry weather too, but my factory mats are starting to fade, get dents in them from my heels, and the carpet below is starting to fade....and the car only has 7k miles on it lol. It should also be easier to vacuum the car out with these mats.

Weather tech is what I have. Keeps the carpet fresh and new.

I think I'm going to get the Husky because it covers the carper higher behind the pedals and on the dead pedal

Another vote for Weathertech.
I have them in my truck and proved to be great. I will get another set for the next vehicle I get as well. Made in the U.S.A as well.
