How many do they build in a day?

I'm waiting like everyone else for my lava red GT. do any of you know how many they make in a day once they get the bugs worked out? Do they do certain colors at a given time or is it a mix on the line. I'm sure there is a back log from everyone that ordered back last year through Jan. Then there is trying to spread the new cars nationwide to the dealer network.. Just curious, someone out there must know the daily amount..

thanks

When I was at Ford, it was simply the annual target divided by working days. So, the Explorer line at Kansas City ran at like 1 per 90 seconds or something rediculous like that, back when the Explorer sold well.
Anyway, a poorly written weblink says Ford sold 11,000 Mustangs last January in a good month, so let's call it 100,000 per year, which would be about 420 per day, assuming 240 working days. Call it about 1 every 3 minutes.

They did orders around that time, mine was put in using the 2011 order guide but marked as being a 2012. Some different rules applied though I'm sure since I'm ordering through the Army's exchange new car sales.

If you mean January 2011 the order guide for 2012 was available. Just before Christmas I was at my dealer to buy a 2011 Sterling Gray GT there were none available on the lot or close by, the way I wanted it. I told him to order me one, the salesman checked and said the books were closed on the 2011 and open for the 2012. I decided to order a 2012 in Sterling gray, but lo and behold the color was not offered for 2012. He had everything required to place an order, prices, options everything, except no sample of color chips to see the actual color. I said that Lava Red might be a color I would like, but I would have to see it first. So at least at Christmas the info was out there, and I would say maybe before then
