Does anyone here have the FRPP tune for their 5.0? And if so how do you like it?

There are diff threads on thus topic. I'd love to hear about this also. I 1st was ready to buy SCT/Bama, then started reading about problems. I now hear the FRPP comes w/warranty. The only mod I will ever do is add the Shaker. Thinking it wouldn't change much? So no need to have tune changed up.

Also helps cause I am dumber than a rock & will never know about this stuff. I just have no idea how to go. Hope by time I have $ to buy this, I will have some idea?

You can see some responses on two threads I had on the Ford Racing ProCal Tuner & Tune, I haven't made a decision yet on the matter.

Don't sell yourself short, man. After all, you were smart enough to get the best sports/musclecar value out there.

I did, there's where my knowledge stops. Only reason why I want to tune my car is for the fake cam sound! I can't handle what I have now. I am smart enough to know what I've got & drive smart.

Can someone with the 6AT & the FRPP tune comment as to whether the FRPP tune changes shift characteristics at all? I know the aftermarket tunes "tighten up" the shifting of the automatic, was just curious whether the FRPP tune did so as well. As always detailed information from Ford is nonexistent on this.

Yes it does.... Shifts are much firmer and and hold rpms longer. definitely more usable power down low. And I can swear it changed the idle and exhaust note very slightly but I seem to be the only one saying that.

Swoops; that mean getting that sound is gone, right? Think I read Ford doesn't like it for ghost tunes. Yeah, I need to try & re-read that post. Thanks!

done,

people put them out there.

kinda semi done. the sound was right, but all the elements for proper tuning are not there.

only ford can unlock the last box. and they said no.

well there are some super smart people that can/could figure it out.

but then ford could take the box away. for good..

and yes, a hacked version is going to happen. but really. 8k to replace a motor. that is if you do it yourself!

but then again, i could be wrong.

beers

I thought I knew what ghost meant. Will FRPP make that tune with power & that cam sound? That's what I'd like.

It seems like the Lund tune was doing pretty well.

That would have been the only one I woulda bought. If Ford can't patent this then I hope they let the secret out to the box. If they can patent it I hope itt isn't to expensive for us to buy.
