A real accurate way to tell your gear ratio is if you have the car on a lift, put a chalk mark on your drive shaft, turn the rear wheel exactly one revolution and count the number of times the drive shaft turns. 3 turns plus a little over a 1/4 turn is 3.31 gears.

Depends on how you're using the car. There's lots of discussion on this on the forum already, but 3.31s give you the best gas mileage and though that's not why any of us bought the car, it's certainly a factor. Only turning 2,000 RPMs at 80 MPH is a pretty awesome benefit of the 3.31s.
