How fast did you burn through the stock tires?
I have the stock 19 Pirelli's, took the car in for the 15k service (14,750 on the od) and was informed my stock tires are down to 3mm... I've never tracked the car, yes I drive with enthusiasm but the car is barely 14 months old... is this common to burn through the stock tires so fast or am I just more aggressive then I should be? At least I have fun - now time to tire shop...
I've heard bad stories about tread life on the pirellis, but I only have 2700 miles and I got the car in April. I should check my tread depths when I get home

I put 47K on my pirelli's, mostly highway miles. I still could have pushed them another 1500 miles, but got some Michelins on a good sale. I never spun the rear tires loose, nor did I track the car with them.
I rotated the pirelli's every 10K; they wore evenly. My only complaint with them was that they were noisy. They had a noise rating of 200 I believe, where the Michelins are rated 400 (higher the number, the quieter).

Noise rating? Or treadwear rating? The pirelli's are 220 treadwear, so it would be expected that they wear relatively quickly. I'll be happy if I get 15k miles out of my OEM tires. That should be 2 years or so. Then I will be replacing these with he highest treadwear tires i can find!

Here's a quote from the article about noise:
...the Michelin was tops. Tread and impact noise was kept at a minimum relative to its peers under all road conditions. On smooth roads the tread noise was barely audible. Impacts from expansion joints and patchwork were absorbed extremely well resulting in a nicely suppressed boom on the larger impacts. I found the Pirelli PZero generated a bit more tread noise on the smooth pavement. The Continental Extreme Contact DW had a bit more of a boom on the larger impacts. The DW also seemingly presented noise a bit more frequently, presumably due to it not absorbing the impacts as well the others. These two things made me feel like the tire was noisier overall. The fourth tire in the test was the Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position. It fared extremely well overall. The noise levels were a bit higher than the others, but it wasn't an obtrusive sound, placing the tire second on my list for overall ride quality and noise.

AND don't cost an arm and a leg lol

Also the 200/400 numbers is the thread wear rating, tires don't have an actual noise rating. However low thread wear rating usually means noisier tires which is what you are implying but the actual number is not a noise rating.
I've got 6/32 after 13,2xx miles. I think they start with 10/32, so about halfway gone. I'm thinking of replacing them soon with all-seasons, as the thought of going through a winter with almost-worn summer tires is not too appealing.
My stock all-seasons only lasted 24K miles because the guy that had this car before me never rotated the tires so they wore really unevenly. Gotta rotate ever 5-6K. I'm up to 20K or so on the second set and they're wearing nicely, though their traction in the rain is pretty awful at this point.
Your car came with the P Zero summer tires? I thought only ones with the v6 performance package and Brembo/track pack came with P Zero summer tires. Must come with the P Zero Nero all seasons with could explain the high mileage you got out of your tires.

I rarely buy new; hate the depreciation you get after signing papers.
So, yes, it had the pirellis (summer tires), and I got an honest 47K out of them with great wear (gotta rotate every 8 to 10K at the minimum). I now have the Michelins on them. They are MUCH quieter than the pirellis on the highway, which is 80 percent of my driving.

I know, but the tires he mentioned are over $300 each. Finding a good $250-270 tire is not "wimping out". That's still a lot of money, but less than $1200 for the tires he mentioned. I'd rather sacrifice tire noise for grip or high wear resistance if it saves me money.
I burned through the stock tires quickly...but then again that will happen if you Auto-X these Pzero's. I replaced them with the BFG G-force comp2 tires. They come in a variety of sizes in 19" and are reasonably priced.(250-ish/ea) They also were very highly rated in independent tire testing and have a reasonably high tread rating.
