How to: disable Advancetrac, traction control, and ABS(for track day only!)
just use the system as it is designed -- turn everything off (traction control and advance trac) using the button and don't try to turn off ABS; as was stated earlier in this thread, ABS is helpful on road track
ok cool. I figured as much. I had a bad spill trying to take a drift but I might have forgotten to turn off traction control because advancetrac kicked in and I bit the curb. But other times I was able to take a perfect 180 no problem when I knew I turned the system off. I just wasn’t sure if it had a defense program to turn back on on its own. But it was most likely operator error in this case. Thank you for the feedback
you're welcome . . . one more thought, since you are talking about drifting not road course . . . I guess you do need to use the parking brake when drifting, but I'm 99.9% positive that is not affected by the ABS, because it uses a separate cable, so you should be fine
yes of course not road drifting. And you are correct. With the independent E-brake system doesn’t affect the ABS system. It’s nice. I think it’s time to upgrade to a happy stick because the ebrake release button does get in the way.
