Hope the Recaro seats don't cost this much...

At $2,800 the new seats don't come cheap, but you will definitely be hooked once you sit in them and start taking a few hard corners. Adjustable side bolsters and extendable seat cushions for those of us with long thighs allow these new thrones to fit any driver.

My parents had a '99 VW Jetta Wolfsburg Edition that came standard with Recaro seats. The car was maybe $20K. The Wolfsburg Edition wasn't really any more expensive than a similarly equipped regular edition. Obviously, the seats were not the $3K models.
Not all Recaro seats are equally supportive or comfortable. There's usually a trade-off. On a lot of the sportier models, folks of, ahem, larger girth will find them too restrictive. They are not for everybody or every body.
If I were to guess, I'd say Ford will put in seats that retail for $900 or so apiece, and charge $900 a pair for the upgrade. Again, that's a total guess based on nothing.
Road & Track recommended against getting the Recaros on the CTS-V. From their CTS-V vs. Jaguar XFR comparison test article text:
"Our biggest complaint focused on the optional Recaro sport seats — while their electrically adjustable bolsters offer great amounts of lateral support, the concave shape of the upper seatback combined with the forward cant of the headrest made for uncomfortable long stints."
From the In My Opinion sidebar:
"I'm utterly impressed with the huge improvement over the old V, yet still at a bargain price. Just don't order the Recaro seats!" [My bolding]
— Mike Monticello, Feature Editor
The rumor from a supposedly reliable source says they are coming in the not too distant future. Possibly Job 2.

As you may know, Recaro makes many different seats over a large price range. I doubt the Mustang will be offered with the top-of-the-line all-out comfort models. The seats pictured would probably cost more than $2,800 each, if you could purchase them after-market.

If I recall correctly, Road & Track recommended against getting the Recaros on the CTS-V. I can't remember their reasoning. I'll try to find the review.

I hope the rumor is true for Recaro availability in a future Mustang-I'll get 'em. The best seats I've had so far from Ford were the Lear-supplied articulated sport seats in my '89 LX and the ones I have right now in my '08 Bullitt.

Interesting. A bit on the pricey side, but they likely have more power adjustments and "features" than I'd want on a Mustang seat anyways. Keep the feature set lower, maybe make some of the adjustments manual instead of power (to keep weight and complexity down), and keep the price to a more reasonable $1200-1500, and I'd get them on a 2011+ Mustang GT.
That's about the going price for a low/medium-end set of Recaros in the aftermarket.
Okay, i'm just going to go ahead and say it...
Wrong section!
Those are some good looking seats though! Though I would like to see Cadillac try to get rid of some weight somewhere! If the V can do what it already does, imagine with 200lbs less?

Eh, wrong section yes. I was just trying to see if this article could stir up any further info on the rumored Recaro seats for the GT/GT500. If they're going to be GT500/Boss only then I don't care and I'll get the regular Saddle seats...
I'm thinking if the Recaros make it to production (which is still up in the air) they'll be an $1500-1800 option. I don't know if they'll be able to have heated seats or any of the goodies, but the seats alone won't be cheap.
I still haven't heard anymore about the Recaros as I previously posted, but I might poke at my sources to get some info.

Some of the early FoxStang models offered Recaro seats that were excellent and would do justice in a GT today. They were tight and firm -- no wide-loads or soft-butts need apply -- but offered great support for hooning about and long-drive comfort.
I would love to see such an option return.

I had the Recaro style seats in my SVO, and I think they were in fact Recaro's, but don't quote me on that. They were nice. Since I'm tall, the best feature was the ability to move the leading edge of the seat forward to support more of the driver's legs. My Audi S4, M3, and my 328Ci with sport package all had those as well. It surprises me to this day that more cars don't have them.
It would be great news if the 2011+ had the option. I'm really contemplating selling my '69 and buying something I can hoon 8-10 months out of the year, and not just on perfect sunny days in the summer.

I'm excited about the possibility of Recaro seats making a return to the Mustang.
