Hood shocks installed, i love it ! -VID-

got them from CJ pony at a good price and free shipping because i ordered some more things. they have chrome and black ones, i like the blacks. took about 15-20 min to install.

I like how they look and function but the one thing I like about the rod you can just let go of the hood and it closes you would need to kind of force down the hood.

yes, you basically unbolt it, move it under the metal lip, take the threaded clip and reverse it and bolt it up to the same location.

one shock is able to hold the hood up, wonder if that would allow for the hood to drop lock? i might have to test that out. just gotta get used to how much force is needed to push it down to lock it.

I've seen it done two ways - I thought this was how the instructions described (how I did it):




But in a different video (redlinetuning has it at the bottom of their page now) the clip nut was still on that metal lip...it doesn't seem like that would work unless you got an actual nut to add to the end of the bolt since the sound tube wasn't threaded. How did you hook yours up?

Current issue of 5.0 has article about some that don't require drilling. I'll look and post the vendor this evening.
