Hertz and Penske Ford Mustang

To make the car, Penske Racing combined elements of Ford's 420-horsepower Shelby GT500 Mustang and the even more powerful, track-oriented Laguna Seca version. Penske gave it a special air intake and exhaust, hotter engine computer tuning, aggressive gear ratios and extra-grippy Brembo brakes. Final horsepower wasn't disclosed.

Me too, the Shelby GT/H remains one of my favourite S197s.
I want to like this one...........but firstly, those stripes look more yellow, and I'm not keen on the over the top one being off-centre.
Still, as rentals go

my reaction exactly haha.
My guess is Ford "Sells" these SE Mustang packages to companies to make money.
Ford -gets a corporate "sale" for $X amount.
buyer Company- (Hertz-Penske in this example) gets to slap their name on some Limited Edition Mustangs with absolutely no investment other than $$ and gets the promotional benefits that they are then free to promote however they want.

Never thought I'd say this, but a story from Fox News is better than USA Today. At least they seem to have their facts straight.
