my dad is getting a mustang GT Prem. convert tomorrow (they are dealer trading it) the dealer he is dealing with gave him like a computer printed window sticker on it it says its a 400A

whats the difference between a 400A and a 401A??

also it says under the options section the 5.0 V-8 engine

i thought GT's were V-8's so why is it an option??

 

401A - Premier Trim with Color Accent trim.

All GT's are V8. 400A is the base Trim for the GT, Premium V6 plus.

You didn't sat what year, I assumed you where buying a current model year.

 

LCC is right. The 401A is the premium interior with the color stripe down the middle of the seats. Very nice looking. It also has the darker aluminum on the dash and (in the manual) the chrome shifter. There may be other differences but I can't think of what they might be at this moment. I'm not in my car.
