help fellow onwers

Hi evryone, ive been reading a lot of forums. im buying a new car and i want it to be a 2 door car. any opinion is welcome. I know this a mustang forum but i have no one to ask this qiestions. Im debating to get a

2013-2014 Nissan 370z or
2013 Hyundai Genesis or
2014 Mustang V6 premium coupe (which i already ordered and will be here on 1st week of october) or
2013 Camaro V6

im really confuse, Nissans are pretty good but downside is only 2 seater and correct me if im wrong that 370z's insurance is much way higher than the 3 car mentioned above bec of being a 2 seater car.

Genesis is also good but the brand hyundai and it looks is not appealing to me (my opinion only)

For camaro and mustangs, they are very good and awesome car. but the resale value of mustang is very poor.. pls give me inputs about these cars. i ordered my mustang race red 2014 + perf Pak + club of america ed + glass roof +comfort pack total is 34kish.. is it really worth it to buy it. pls fellow mustang enlighten me....

Can a forum moderator please get rid of this user? The threads posted are way too generic to be real.

Am I the only one that thinks this?

I'll bite.

2013-2014 Nissan 370z
Not Nissans best work. Choppy ride, underpowered. Go for the Nismo

2013 Hyundai Genesis
Good option. Good price. Little unrefined metalwork (look in and around trunk) decent performance nice cabin. Best bet for the buck

2014 Mustang V6 premium coupe (which i already ordered and will be here on 1st week of october)

A classic. Decent interior. Lots of clubs. Lots of aftermarket options. Good value. You will constantly wish you got the V8

2013 Camaro V6
Too heavy. Waaaay to heavy. Poor site lines. You wish you got the Mustang.

I agree if you get the v6 mustang you may well wish you'd gotten the v8 gt rather than mod a v6 to get v8 performance. And since if you can afford a 370z you can afford a gt, I'd get that.

I'm sorry if I misunderstood your post, but are you paying 34k for a V6? I got my '14 Brembo GT Premium for the same price and felt like I overpaid.

I have to disagree with the V6 vs the V8 remarks. I used to think that also. I have two mustangs. A 2012 California Special V8 that pushes almost 500hp and a 2013 Convertible V6 that pushes close to 360hp. Yes both have a few engine mods. While the V8 is a road monster the V6 has a ton of get up and go and is also a blast to drive. It handles a little better due to less weight on the front end. I insure the Cali for 3k miles a year and the Vert for 12k miles a year. I pay less for insurance on the Vert. So unless you are mainly concerned about the most power and bragging rights the V6 Mustang is a great fit.

it all depends where you live and the current market in that area. 34k for a v6 seems kind of high but not unheard of. it better be fully loaded though.

I had a similar list when I was car shopping. All are very good cars. I'd drop the camaro based on the limited visibility and weight.

I don't think you can lose with the other three. The Hyundai will be more refined but a little boring. The z is amazing but sounds horrible and the 2 seats make it less flexible. The z was one of my final 2. The mustang v6 is very nice. It drives well and has great after market support. I bought the gt. The usability of the performance difference on city streets is debatable. The sound of a v8 being magic is not. For me, the gt is special.

I don't understand, you've already ordered the Mustang and you are now coming on to ask which car you should get???

Isn't that going at this bass-ackward???

And Mustang resale values are ridiculously high, don't know where you got the opposite idea.

I just went for a drive on 17 Mile Drive with a friend, in the sun, with the top down. On the way down here my V6 turned in 32MPG on the first leg to southern Oregon. I don't feel a lack of power, and mine is stock. We each have our priorities, but I don't see how anyone can categorically say that if you buy a V6 you will wish you had bought a V8. I certainly don't.

"Categorically," no. But if you spent 34k on the V6 it becomes a bit more difficult to justify.

Personally if I could afford it I would go with the 370z, that engine is just phenomenal and the amount of technology that went into the ecu and transmission is well above Ford's as of the moment. Yes the biggest downside to that car is the amount of people it can carry, but that's an upside to.

Due to insurance reasons, out of all those vehicles you metioned, I would have a hard time choosing between the v6 mustang and the Genesis. Both chassis' are quite strong, but the mustang does have a slightly better chassis mainly because it's tried and true. As far as engines go I would choose the v6 out of the hyundai, it is just that much smoother and responds much better to bolt on's and forced induction; PLUS! the warranty is more worth it from Hyundai, I can tell you right now Ford is not very forgiving when it comes to upgrades these days.

Also from just looking around the depreciation for the new mustang chassis with either the v6 or v8 is just around 9% for the first year, which is incredibly low. That was just with searching through ebay and craigslist for a brief moment, and cross referencing the advertised price, which most people didn't pay so the depreciated value may be slightly lower then nine percent.

And not to be bias'ed just because I own a 2012 5.0, but the v6 camaro shouldn't even be a choice on your list. The only good thing about that car is the engine is good, everything else is horrible. Sometimes I think people just buy it because it has IRS and it looks cool, definitely not for the "PLEASANT" visibility or the fact that it's a boat.

while I love my 2013 mustang 5.0

I wish I would have gone a different route. :-(

the interior is nice but not amazing

and the gas mileage is horrid I have been getting 13mpg no matter what I do.

on a 100 mile drive on a oklahoma toll road I set the cruise at 70 and never had to take a corner... I got 20.3 mpg

Definitely something wrong then, even my 3.73 Brembo car will get mid 20's at 70, and it's never been below 15 squirrelling around town.
