Help on 2012 GT purchase price, please

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could give some insight as to what a fair to good price might be on a 2012 gt I've got my eye on.

2012 base gt m6, brembo's, 3.73 MSRP....$32,085 or atleast that's what the advertised window sticker pic on the dealer website reads.

Great exactly what I'm looking for, but the same ad states the MSRP is in fact $33,684 internet price of $29,407. Okay, only differences I see are the car has a Yellow Blaze Tricoat Super Snake stripe and a strut tower brace. Now is this some sort of custom order that a customer backed out on or did the dealer add after it came in stock?

And if they did is it really 1600 bucks for a stripe and an STB? I just want to know which MSRP price I should be basing my negotiations off of?

I emailed the dealer for a quote they came back saying the internet price of $29,407 was in fact invoice minus the 3k in rebates. Sounds bogus and was wondering what to hit them back with. I was thinking 28ish unless you think I can do better?

Also if I'm way off base and this stripe and STB are well worth the price I want to know that too.

Thanks in advance

Strut Tower Brace comes with any '12 Mustang with the 19" wheels (such as this Brembo Pkg GT). Is the whole car Yellow Blaze, or just a stripe added after-the-fact? Adding a stripe after the fact is typically about $1,000 for a quality stripe job.

If the car is a Yellow Blaze base GT Coupe with Brembo Pkg & 3.73 gears, factory pricing would be....

$33,090 = MSRP.
$31,056 = Invoice Total per Ford.

There's a $3,000 factory rebate currently, so invoice less the rebate is $28,056. If that dealer added a stripe, I could see it pricing out just above $29K. Sounds like a decent deal on this car if that's the case.

Do you have a link to this car on the dealer's website so we can better guide you?

^Spoke to a dealer here locally (NC) and he said the $3000 rebate was only for the V6, is that true and the GT only gets the $1500?

Hey bud, post up your ZIP code and I can run a VINCENT program to see what the rebates are. They are $3,000 for GTs here, and they shouldn't differ by region. Post up the info, or you can give me a call if you want. Number is in my sig below. I'll be glad to help.

It's late in the model year, 13's will be on the lots before too long.

Offer them 28-28.5K and be ready to walk away if they don't budge off their price.

There are other cars out there.

Yeah I figured out the brace was part of the Brembo package after the fact, sorry. The car is black and the dealer stated they added the yellow super snake stripe package afterward. Don't seem to want to move off of $29,407. Too bad, I'm definitely liking the unique look of that car.
