Greetings from the Heidelberg area. I will have my winter wheels on my 2011 mustang (tires on stock rims) next week. The 2003 cobra will stay in the garage most days.

Ford Dealership? I'm just wondering how much more the car cost there in Germany. Was the car made specifically for sale in Germany or did you have to do anything to it...

Hi,
yes it's from a Ford-Dealership, but he is a special-importeur.
The price is realy high, it's about ca. 55000$.
The car was make specialy for the german law (different turnlights in yelow, headlights get new parking lights and other small things). But it's all includet from the dealer.

Sorry for my bad english,
greatings!!!

Great car Harry! Unfortunately there are many Americans whose English isn't nearly as good as yours.

The tires are used from ebay (170$ 4EA).
They are a little bit loud, but in wintertimes i don't drive so much.

I'm looking in doing the same thing next winter. What clearance in offset do you have with those spacers ? I was wondering if I could use smaller spacers (without studs) like 5mm and still clear the Brembos

The offset including spacers is 24 millimeters (Rim is 8x18 offset 44mm), and i think to the caliper is 5-7 millimeter space.
If you take smaller spacers i think you need other studs, because the hole in the wheel is to short for smaller spacers.

Thanks, I was wondering if I could have smaller spacers (5mm) that do NOT have any studs so I could use the original studs on the car. If 20mm is giving you 5-7mm space then the answer is no. Thanks for your help.

Another option is to use SN95 (pre 05) wheels which have about 15mm more offset combined with a 5mm spacer without studs should clear the Brembos

Lots of 5.0's in Germany, and Mustangs in general. US military sales is still there plus several German and American Mustang clubs.

It's not the offset that is necessarily going to get you any caliper clearance, it is the shape of the back side of the wheel center.

Several people I know from Wild Ponies of Hanau Mustang club bought their car from the USA and had it converted and paid the taxes once they brought it back to Germany. Saved a lot of money that way. When I converted the '97 I had it cost me DM2500 (in those days). They changed very little on the car and gave me a gutashein (forgive my poor German) for almost everything. I didn't have to pay the import tax because I was a transfer from the American system to GMBH
